Job description
Reporting to the Regional CFO, the Director of Finance fulfils a business partnership and leadership role in managing the organization’s financials. He/she is responsible for driving the financial policy, process and services including financial accounting, management accounting, investments and internal audit of the organization in order to drive corporate profitability and achieve the overall business objectives. Ensure timely and accurate financial information is provided to the Managing Director and Regional Management for effective organizational planning and business development.
Main areas of responsibility:
Participate in the strategic planning activities and work in partnership with the MD and business unit leaders to define short and long term financial strategies linked with the overall business strategic directions in order to provide financial ideas and recommendations that drive business solutions
Ensure the implementation of all approved strategies and plans based on global and regional guidelines that are also consistently aligned with the company’s operating policies and procedures
Evaluate the financial aspects of any proposed business changes

Direct and coordinate economic research, major feasibility studies involving detailed financial analysis and estimates of future returns on proposed investments
Leverage best demonstrated practices and bring them into the country/organization context
Work with senior management to prioritize resources for effective and efficient operation of the business and client applications
Monitor country activities to ensure the cost efficiency for sustained profitability
Provide financial information and interpretations to management and make recommendations to ensure the organization achieves revenue and operating income targets
Represent the organization in dealings with the organization’s bankers, legal advisers, major clients and others as required
Control activities such as taxation, credit policy, cash flow and investment policy, costing and expense control, preparation of tenders, audits administration of contracts, insurance arrangements and property administration
Ensure alignment of operating systems and processes that will enable the business unit to achieve the overall business objectives
Contribute to the development of corporate policies, procedures and programs and other regional initiatives when consulted / involved by the various regional and sub-regional heads

Desired Skills and Experience
University degree in Finance / Accounting (MBA desirable), member of professional accounting bodies
10 to 15 years finance working experience with at least 5 years in a multinational environment
Candidates with working experience in the FMCG industry will have an advantage
Proven track record of strong leadership, team management and the ability to drive excellence in execution
