Job Description
Director is required to manage a portfolio of accounts originated offshore and booked in Singapore OBU. This will involve facilitating the process involved in booking & ongoing management of such transactions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Facilitate the booking & ongoing management of offshore-originated transactions in the Singapore OBU in accordance with the Roles & Responsibilities document agreed between the Originating Unit & OBU Booking Unit. Ensure Singapore local regulatory compliance is adhere to.
* For each OBU transaction - to ensure compliance to Group Policies / Procedures, Operational, Local Legal & Regulatory requirements, as well as laws pertaining to AML, CFT (including KYC / CDD), both at deal inception & on an on-going basis.
* Liaise directly with all relevant stakeholders involved in the end-to-end OBU deal processing, including; (1) Originating Unit RM responsible for BCA preparation/approval, documentation preparation & post-booking credit monitoring (2) BU Credit Authority for final sign-off to allow OBU booking and compliance confirmation (3) CRC Singapore for verification of loan documentation against agreed terms, issuance of SCC & limit loading (4) Client & OU RM for execution of documentation.
* Upon receipt of necessary clearance, loading customer profiles into necessary systems & carrying out the drawdown in consultation with OU RM and in accordance with client instructions.
* OUPM - Originating Unit Process Manager. Provide guidance to SG CIC team on booking deals outside of SG into the other OBL location.
* Prepare and submit monthly and bi-monthly MI and management packs to various stakeholders and departments including numerous ad hoc regulatory surveys & requests
* Lending product country Addendum & Islamic lending CA - SG lending product subject matter expert to review the lending product PPG and be the point of contact for SG RM / CCM on matters related to lending.
* Ensure Business KCSA are done correctly and approve them once they are completed. Work closely with UORM on this.
* Ongoing management of assigned portfolio of OBU accounts, which includes;
o Maintenance of MAS Compliant Credit File for each account in portfolio,
o Conducting rollovers of accounts in portfolio,
o Monitoring excesses on accounts (including loan repayment), as well as documentation / DDN and liaising with OU to rectify,
o Liaising with OU RM responsible for credit monitoring to ensure (1) timely annual BCA reviews (2) covenant compliance reporting (3) any change in risk profile is reflected in ordinary monitoring processes of Booking Unit.
Qualifications & Skills
* Degree in Finance, Accounting or Banking is preferable.
* Experience in corporate loan is essential.
* Experience in trade booking would be advantage but not essential
* Minimum 5 years' relevant experience.
* Strong organizational, time management, logic, systems & communication skills are essential.
* Thorough understanding of (1) the Bank's compliance framework, policies & processes, (2) local legal and regulatory requirements and (3) the end-to-end deal processing requirements.
* Ability to work well within teams and with varied stakeholders across segments and geographies.
