Job description
The role includes extensive collaboration with product and business partners in regions and product suite, Sales, Operations, Technology, Risk/Compliance and Legal. Focus will be on comprehensive global market driven strategy and execution around payments and related services.
In addition, the leader must be able to identify and introduce innovation, and become a trusted advisor to senior technology, operations and business leaders.
The APAC TS & CM Regional Head will provide representation of the TS&CM functions for the region. The Regional Head ensures that the technology infrastructure is built in line with global strategy and standards while also meeting the demands of the business and the regulators in the region. The APAC Regional Head liaises with the businesses in the region to understand their strategies and growth plans to ensure that the proper infrastructure is built to support growth at the right cost and with the right controls.
Responsibilities include:
SERVICE DELIVERY
• Ensure a stable infrastructure that incorporates networks, data center, desktops, and distributed technologies
• Manage the regional team in partnership with the global tower leads
• Provide weekly MIS and reporting on service delivery metrics
INCIDENT PROBLEM AND CHANGE MANAGEMENT
• Manage all major incidents in the region with regional production teams
CONTROLS
• Manage a focused and tight control agenda. This includes both internal control with audit and external control with the external auditors and regulators, which spans 16+ countries and over 30 different regulators.
FINANCIAL
• Maintain stringent financial control and transparency that justifies costs to each Line of Business by breaking down the financials into individual countries
• Plan and budget for the region incorporating BAU and investments, top down tower initiatives as well as bottom up country specific ones
PEOPLE
• Accountable for developing a high performing team who is motivated to deliver against high standards and has development opportunities
• Understand local markets and compensate people correctly with strong regional input and approval at global tower level
Qualification
• 15+ years technology experience, with a proven history of driving an infrastructure technology agenda at scale, demonstrated expertise in successful large project management execution and service delivery management
• Experience as a senior manager, managing a large department with multiple organizational units in a technology environment, including the development of organizational vision and mission, setting goals and objectives as well as the development and execution of operational plans without supervision
• Excellent communicator with ability to articulate infrastructure technology in business language
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere and manage through influence
• Ability balance global, regional and line of business perspective with those of the firm, clients and shareholders
• Poised under high pressure situations and ability to lead the business line through potential crisis
• Ability to manage over widespread geographic territory, geographically diverse support resources
• Experience with establishing financial goals, tracking and driving optimization opportunities and presenting progress of same
