Position Summary
Visa Performance Solutions (VPS) provides consulting solutions to clients in Asia Pacific. VPS is focused on a single goal: improving our clients’ profitability and performance. We offer deep specialization in product and marketing through both tailored consulting engagements and automated low-touch solutions. As part of Visa’s commitment to support the growth and success of its Merchant and Acquirer partners, Visa Performance Solutions is looking for an experienced and highly motivated business leader to join the team and focus on key Merchant and Acquirer relationships in the Asia Pacific region.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated track record in successfully collaborating across functional areas and geographies to leverage a broad range of capability to meet client needs, drive opportunities and create value.

Responsibilities

Drive Growth
Develop annual plans for region/client – proactively engage with internal stakeholders/clients ensuring annual/quarterly strategic discussions take place that drive business growth.
Nurture and evolve communication with in-market AE and VPS team members, analytics experts and internal stakeholders to ensure there is a local consulting pyramid of production and delivery of highly effective consulting solutions.
Understand market trends and requirements, propose holistic solutions to solve client's/geographies business needs and provides feedback to hub team for solutions that need to be produced centrally.

Raise Client Performance
Develop frameworks and approaches, as well as perform deep analyses, that enable clients to address opportunities and tackle challenges (e.g., maximize clients’ product, marketing and revenue efforts across channels and payments products).
In cooperation with other leaders, ensure the team has cutting edge solutions that are constantly enriched, replenished and reviewed and meaningfully add value to clients.
Make keynote presentations at local client and industry forums.
Work with internal stakeholders and partners to advocate for client needs for the purpose of platform development, product development, marketing strategy creation and other solution development

Spur Innovation
Challenge status quo and prioritize focus in geographies or in areas of expertise.
Design innovative and efficient consulting solutions that anticipate or meet client’s needs.
Facilitate team meetings and workshops to enable creative problem solving and/or transfer domain knowledge, helping team to realize project objectives across multiple clients.
Codify key learnings, collecting best practices and socialize among global VPS colleagues.
Identify unmet needs of clients and develop unique solutions to resolve those needs.
Transfer knowledge necessary to scale selected global solutions.

Execute Against Commitments
Bring deep subject matter for engagements involving portfolio strategy, portfolio diagnostics, acquiring and merchant solutions that results in clear strategies that target core issues.
Undertake client projects, including project road mapping, client interviewing, analytical review of inputs, custom research, structuring of recommendations, and report writing that help to isolate core issues and result in practical solutions.
Plan and organize pipeline, delivery of solutions, resolutions to complex projects and allocate team resources to execute the required commitments.

Collaborate Across Boundaries
Promote partnership with other functional areas (particularly MS&S), ensuring alignment of opportunities and recommendations.
Collaborate across Visa to bring the relevant subject matter expert to help address client needs.
Collaborate seamlessly with Solutions team and analytics business partners to ensure appropriate planning, resource allocation and delivery of project solutions.
Foster knowledge in areas of expertise and develop others within the global organization and local team.
Work cross-functionally to align internal and external stakeholders and resources to deliver business needs.

Lead People
Manage allocation of work across teams and manage project pipeline to maximize efficiency, throughput and quality.
Select and manage local consulting partners involved in the delivery of consulting engagements.
Assign engagements and provide direction to other team members.
Drive awareness of specialist consulting solutions and ensure team is properly trained.
Provide thought leadership internally and contribute to other Visa functional teams in providing services to clients.
Facilitate training and coach team towards continuous learning and upskilling.

Qualifications

Professional
Minimum 15 years’ experience in merchant and/or acquiring payments with experience in both front office (product/marketing) and back office (operations, risk) in a senior level capacity.
Global or multi-national business experience strongly preferred (e.g. with a major acquirer or merchant from a mature cards market such as USA, UK or Australia).
Strong academic credentials, with relevant undergraduate degree and MBA or graduate degree preferred.
Some consulting experience preferred with project management and/or process re-engineering credentials helpful.
Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
Must be team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.

Technical
Deep experience and knowledge of the acquirer, merchant and payment gateway and technologies.
Understanding of acquirers and merchants’ P&L and critical factors in driving profitability.
Experience in several key acquirer business areas, such as product and portfolio management, marketing, operations, risk management.
Experience in and passion for the power of analytics to inform and drive strategy and tactics.
Expert level Excel and PowerPoint.
An understanding of statistical analysis, modeling, scoring schemes, etc.
Expert level meeting and workshop facilitation skills.
