The Director of Sales, Asia is responsible for building and managing a team of sales resources whose focus is to execute on the SolarWinds sales model; selling software consistently and predictably to achieve pre-determined sales quotas and targets while ensuring a satisfied customer base to build a sustainable business for future success in the territory. The Sales Director is also responsible for business and channel development ensuring growth in his or her region.
Responsibilities:
The Sales Director has responsibility for all activity within their assigned area, including:
Achieving sales targets for SolarWinds products, solutions and initiatives within specific time frames across multiple market segments
Be a growth driver in the assigned territory
Using Salesforce.com and tableau as a sales management productivity and analysis tool by championing its use with the Sales Managers and other applicable divisions of the business
Providing timely and accurate business forecasts to sales and executive management
Utilizing SolarWinds daily cadences as a resource, build and effectively lead a sales organization through hiring, training and development
Together with the sales team and other key stakeholders, provide directions in managing and maintaining the region’s direct customers
Recruit, develop and build on current and new channel partners to ensure continued scalability in Channel Initiated business within the region
Collaborate with other cross-functional management teams in marketing, product, human resource, support, sales engineering and finance operations to execute on plans that drive incremental business

Must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to build and motivate a sales organization to ensure both short and long term goals, objectives and quotas
Ability to understand and analyses sales numbers and manage to daily sales metrics
Ability to make daily adjustments to maintain deal velocity and momentum
Ability to understand and communicate business concepts
Ability to adapt to changing business issues and requirements
Minimum of 5 years in a quota carrying sales role with demonstrated achievement
Minimum of 3 years sales management experience
Ability to lead, motivate and execute with a team of inside, channels, direct sales resources
Proven ability to recruit, train and scale against aggressive growth targets
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
Multi-cultural and international experience
BS/BA preferred
English and Chinese language speaker preferred
