Job Description
We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our team as a L&D Director. You will provide management and leadership in the areas of learning and development to the business function leads as well as to a team of L&D managers and senior support staff within Learning & Development. The department manager will also ensure that L&D works in effective partnership with stakeholders as well as local service providers and supporting the business.

Key responsibilities include:
Support the L&D Partner in carrying out strategic and operational objectives and initiatives.
Ensure good communication channels are established and maintained between L&D and the rest of the business as well as within the department.
Recruit, manage and develop direct-reporting L&D staff.


Responsible for managing staff and individuals; developing personal growth opportunities; including oversight of their daily responsibilities.
Accomplishes team results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching and counselling staff as required; developing, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards.
Establishes strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service and operations information; identifying and evaluating business trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
Oversight of day-to-day activities between the business and L&D.
Accomplishes financial objects by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Maintains professional and technical corporate learning and development knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Collaborate with internal teams to create tools and resources to support development initiatives.
Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Desired Skills and Experience
A successful candidate should possess the following qualities and qualifications:

Have significant operational Learning & Development design & delivery experience; preferably with an audit background.
Strong communication skills.
Proven working experience (8 – 10 years) progressive Learning & Development experience with a focus on leadership and executive development, preferably within a professional services firm or similar environment.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Master's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Adequate knowledge of learning management systems, SAP’s SuccessFactor preferred, and web delivery tools.
Highly proficient with MS Office (2007 or later).
Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualified or equivalent.
