Overview

•Manage the planning, budgeting, reporting, pricing, and process improvement activities for MasterCard’s Global Product & Solutions (GP&S) APMEA Region.

•Coordinate regional and corporate planning and reporting requirements.

•Be the primary focal person for alignment of regional and corporate processes and outcomes associated with planning, budgeting and performance reviews across all products and solutions in Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa (APMEA).

•Interface with senior management in the region and key stakeholders in various divisions in APMEA to support the financial analysis needed for strategic initiatives and regular business activities.

•Develop, review and refine business models and business cases necessary to justify incremental funding requests for annual budgets or specific one-off new product initiatives.

Role

•Ensure alignment of regional and corporate processes and outcomes during the budgeting and quarterly performance review cycles, and preparing comprehensive briefing materials and analysis as needed for GP&S regional lead.

•Serve as the primary person in the Global Products & Solutions (GP&S) team responsible for alignment of financial metrics and execution of strategic and regular business activities, by working collaboratively with regional business partners.

•Provide financial thought leadership in the development of regional and market specific business models or business cases to justify incremental funding requests for annual budgets or specific one-off new product initiatives.

•Institute and maintain monthly and quarterly performance reporting on all products and solutions in APMEA, to be able to track and monitor progress, success and trends for product management, and to develop product P&L metrics with the goal of generating actionable insights to aid in investment decisions, complement the planning process and support management performance reporting.

•Facilitate monthly and quarterly business reviews with regional and global management.

•Provide local oversight for Mobile Payment Solutions (MPS), a MasterCard subsidiary, while the direct support will be provided from the Emerging Payments finance team in Purchase, New York.

•Strong domain knowledge in the area of payments.
•Sound business judgment with advanced planning skills - future oriented and capable of delivering creative approaches that drive business objectives.
•Effective consultative abilities acting as an internal advocate for the APMEA region, including excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate solutions that leave all parties satisfied with the future outcome.
•Excellent people skills; with strong problem solving, analytical, quantitative communication and organizational skills.
•Possess excellent relationship management skills and ability to work collaboratively across multiple groups and all levels of management.
•Ability to handle confidential information and materials with appropriate discretion.
•Proven experience with MasterCard data source and tools preferred.
•Ability to work on a cross-functional basis; excellent team integration skills and support capabilities (ability to work in a matrix environment is essential).
•Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or other analytic discipline required; post graduate degree preferred.
