Logistics Project Manager - Google - Singapore


Job description
Google's custom-designed machines make up one of the largest and most powerful computing infrastructures in the world, and the Global Logistics team procures and manages the resources that power our immense collection. As a part of this team, you apply your knowledge of supply chain principles and your problem-solving prowess to key logistics processes (managing vendors, shipping and receiving, inventory management, warehousing and distribution, transportation, etc.).

Your diligence ensures that the global delivery and life cycle management of network equipment is timely and efficient. You help the networking material supply chain by understanding the unique needs of the deployment team and defining best practices across multiple cross-functional teams. The end result of your work is the delivery of Google's products and services to millions of users around the world.

You manage and motivate a team to develop and manage project schedules, identify risks and then clearly communicate those risks to project stakeholders. You define problem solving and risk-mitigation strategies and facilitate conflict resolution through the full project cycle.

Responsibilities
Manage multiple 3PL locations across the region for consistent performance effectively.
Be result oriented as a logistics problem solver with speed, accuracy and completeness.
Lead 3PL partners to establish facts, solve complex problems, establish corrective action plans.
Manage and monitor metrics for Key Performance Indicators and vendor performance scorecards.

Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Business or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience working with 3PL partners and outsourced providers.
5 years of experience working in domestic and international environments.
Ability to speak and write Chinese (Mandarin) fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred qualifications
MBA or Master's degree in related field.
Structured thinking and logic with strong analytical skills.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Presentation skills with detailed business documentation to stakeholders and management.
Strong communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills.
