We're looking for a Business Development Executive based in APAC to join us on our journey. This is a strategic business development role aimed at creating, designing and delivering strong business and customer results. You'll be accountable for driving the Business Development portfolio plan in APAC for Global Media Solutions.
You'll have a strong focus on strategic positioning and influencing of key opportunities in the industry. You'll support and position our enterprise sales force to deliver a set of compelling media solutions and capabilities to our customers. This will be achieved by providing a customer aligned focus to solutioning that seeks to influence key customer decisions by shaping opportunities towards Telstra core capabilities and our strategic roadmap.
Core responsibilities include the creation and development of the Global Media Solutions Business Development plan for APAC, thought leadership on media industry trends, and the identification and qualification of new media business opportunities in APAC. You will also provide input from our APAC customers and the regional media industry into our overall product, solutions and services strategy and roadmap.
You'll work across a broad range of customers including content providers and production companies, broadcasters and publishers, retail and venues, telcos and mobile service providers, and government bodies. In addition to this you'll maintain close working partnerships with the biggest names in the media and entertainment industries, including cinema, TV, radio, advertising, print publishing and gaming.
What are we looking for? You'll be a subject matter expert with solid experience consulting, selling, delivering into the media sector and associated bodies internationally. This is a strategic business development role so you'll have experience in developing and executing strategy, influencing key senior stakeholders, creating and selling media solutions and services, and driving customer advocacy.

Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Extensive experience working in a Sales, Business Development or Presales Consulting role
Deep knowledge of the global Media Industry with a technical speciality and subject matter expertise in professional or broadcast media technology solutions
Experience in developing and executing strategy
Experience participating in or leading cross-functional teams via direct and indirect sales channels
Experience influencing senior stakeholders – internal and external
Prior experience in the APAC media industry and an existing network of professional relationships in APAC will be an advantage
Demonstrable experience in Sales/Product/Services portfolio development and management
