Job description
Position Summary
To develop, manage and support the strategy, deployment and customer experience of Visa Commercial Solutions for Asia Pacific in the following areas, where customers refer to issuers, acquirers, buyers (end-user organisations of Visa Commercial Cards (plastic or virtual), and suppliers (existing or new merchants).:
Develop and manage the product strategy and deployment of Visa Commercial’s suite of Information Products, ie. Visa IntelliLink, Data Management Services, Enhanced Data etc) in alignment with Visa Global Commercial product strategy and with relevant application to the needs of customers in Asia Pacific.
The role will have accountability to recommend and drive Visa Commercial’s information product strategy for investment for new functionality, quality assurance and go-to-marketing planning and execution. The role will focus on driving positive user experience of the use of Visa Commercial information products in support of addressing business challenges and needs with data and the business insights derived when transactions are made through Visa accounts (plastic or virtual).
The role will support similar needs for CEMEA as required from a platform ownership/management perspective until similar role is hired for CEMEA or as business need arises (eg. Regional issuer or end-user organization implementation).
Support product marketing of Visa Commercial Solutions for Asia Pacific, focusing on applicability of Visa Commercial Solutions to the needs of the customers and based on marketing guidelines for Visa Commercial Solutions in Asia Pacific.
Co-develop go-to-market strategy and initiatives
Responsibilities
Information Products:
Manage product development and enhancement of information products and data management services provided by Visa Commercial Solutions. These services include Visa IntelliLink Spend Management and Compliance, Visa Commercial Format, Visa Enhanced Data Capture and Data Management and Processing services including enhanced data acquisition and certification of 3rd-party sources. It will be necessary to work with cross-functional teams globally and regionally, including but not limited to Global Commercial product organization, Global Systems, Commercial Client Services, Data platforms, Channel Development and Partnerships, Product Engagement, Sales and in-country Product Teams, and other functions such as Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Sourcing, and Corporate Relations
Incorporate and extend information products to develop new ways of capturing payment flows with Visa Commercial products addressing current payment/collections gaps that may not be effectively addressed by traditional payment methods (such as cheques, wire transfers etc) which Visa Commercial Products could be a more viable alternative.
Support the solutionising of Information Products as required in non-standard implementation with in-country product teams and issuers/acquirers to retain or win new business with end-user organizations and merchants.
Develop and build alliance with 3rd party data providers and EMS/ERP providers (including but not limited to TMCs, hotels, B2B merchants etc) to provide enhanced data to strengthen value proposition of Visa Commercial Solutions information products for better fit to the needs of the customers. Align with Channel Development and Partnership team to ensure quality of data management process with an agreed sub-set of these 3rd party data or EMS/ERP providers identified as collaborative sales channels with issuers.
Manage and lead the launch all new functionalities and upgrades of information products. Co-own the localization of adoption of new information products and functionalities with in-country product teams.
Product Marketing:
Manage the production of product content and messages that will drive effective communication and marketing of Information and Data services provided by Visa Commercial Solutions to drive adoption (acquisition) and usage.
Support the marketing initiatives of Visa Commercial Solutions including internal and external events, thought leadership roundtables, education and training.
Product Lifecycle Consulting:
Engage with Issuers / Acquirers (as agreed with sales and country product teams) on end-to-end product management including development of new products and management of existing products to grow penetration, activation and usage of Visa Commercial Solutions for Enterprise and Government Segment of customers
Identify product gaps and opportunities through analyses of business metrics, portfolio level performance, segment penetration, customer behavioral profiles and competitive product assessment
Develop industry and marketplace benchmarking from internal and external data sources for both Visa and Issuer market share, portfolio performance, and other channel/ segment specific comparisons.
Conduct analysis of business opportunities, market and industry trends, and emerging segments; synthesize proprietary research and industry insights to provide subject matter expertise and guidance to clients
Qualifications
Professional
Undergraduate degree or equivalent.
At least 7- 10years experience in the financial services or systems industry in product management or marketing roles
Direct customer management experience to lead and drive projects.
Knowledge of commercial cards and data solutions.
Developed and managed marketing and communication campaigns to drive adoption and usage.
Technical
Minimum 5 years exposure to systems integration.
Process oriented.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to drive results systematically.
Strong problem solving skills.
Trained in solution selling methodolgy, a plus.
