You will be part of the Global Freight and Logistics (GF&L) procurement organization and work as a Procurement Director with a high visibility across the GF&L and Global Operations leadership team and be responsible for leading the procurement of our global Inbound Airfreight expenditure


Principal Duties and Responsibilities include

· Developing and executing strategic sourcing plans that enable the sustainable achievement of our cost improvement and service level goals

· Driving mechanisms to better understand key cost drivers within the Airfreight commodity and keeping abreast of market dynamics that will ensure a continued advantaged position for Dell

· Developing an external reference framework for cost and process benchmarking and improve performance relative to benchmarks

· Progressing productive working relationships with our key suppliers and enable supplier innovation through the leadership of a multi-tier supplier relationship strategy

· Leveraging advanced negotiating techniques, as appropriate, in commercial, contractual and service level dialog with suppliers

· Increasing the visibility of spend and the portion of spend actively managed

· Enhancing internal stakeholder engagement that enables opportunity for increased procurement contribution to business challenges within the airfreight commodity

You should be comfortable with a fast-paced dynamic environment, be able to clearly and concisely communicate recommendations and conclusions with the support of detailed analysis and sources and be able to program manage effective and time-bound change management delivery through strong leadership of your direct and cross-functional global teams.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field (MBA or post graduate degree preferred)

· 10 years+ procurement experience working within a large, global, center-led procurement organization (7 years+ considered for candidates with MBA or post graduate degree)

· 5 year+ specific commodity experience in the management of airfreight procurement within a Logistics Provider or large airfreight shipper

· Distinctive problem solving leadership and analytical thinking

· Strong influencing skills and ability to build lasting relationships and influence across multiple layers of the organization

· Excellent communication and synthesizing skills (both written and verbal)
