Director - Corporate IT End User Operations - Visa - Singapore
Job description
POSITION SUMMARY
The candidate will be responsible for managing a global team of System Administrators supporting the Corporate IT End User Operations server infrastructure and various application support functions in support of this function. They will be responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of the 24x7x365 Operations team and will be required to ensure proper change management and incident escalations processes are defined, followed, etc. This includes ensuring the team maintains audit compliance and delivers on corporatedepartmental goals and metrics. This candidate will serve as the interface with internal teams (workstation support, helpdesk, engineering, OperationsInfrastructure, etc.) as well as internal and external customers (Visa’s Customer Service Center, etc.) and will additionally be responsible for participating in service improvement efforts across various platforms and functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervising system administrator and application support resources across multiple global locations
• Interacting with and managing customers, serving as escalation point
• Responsible for adherence to Internal Controls and Compliance
• Responsible for managing the provisioning, deployment, and implementation of Windows based server solutions across the Corporate IT stack
• Responsible for adherence of established ITIL practice
• Responsible for managing and negotiating with Vendors
• Maximizing operational effectiveness for all areas under responsibility
• As needed, provide some level of operational support
• DevelopMaintain reporting of metric, project status, etc.
SECONDARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Participate in end user operations planning and service improvement lifecycle
• Responsible for leading and delivery of enterprise initiatives
• Be able to drive service improvements
• Provide forecasting for resource and budgetary needs
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information science, or a related technical discipline
• 10 years of relevant professional experience directly related to Windows based server environments, multi-OS environments (Windows, Unix, Linux) and server hardware and peripherals
• Working experience with infrastructure components (LANWAN)
• 5 Years of previous management experience
• Previous System Admin experience supporting a 24x7 Operational environment
• Working knowledge of Windows 2003/2008/2012, Exchange, Active Directory, Citrix, SharePoint, Microsoft SCCM, etc.
• Track record of on-time, on scope, high quality implementations
• Self-motivated with the ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
• Ability to coordinate activities within cross-divisional and cross-functional teams
• Strong supervisor qualities and organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and assignments
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; in particular, demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally
• Strong understanding of process orientation, understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices
• Candidate must have demonstrated and be prepared to exhibit initiative and ownership of project success
• Ability to set goals and objectives, prioritize, and manage situations to satisfactory completion
PREFERRED
• Knowledge and experience in Visa’s server infrastructure and existing processes
• Visa product, systems and applications knowledge
