Position Summary
The Analytics Partnership Team consists of analytically-minded problem-solvers with relevant experience in product, marketing and/or consulting. These people are the active partners with the business units and the first and only stop for all analysis.

The Analytics Partnership Team Leader will build and lead a high-performing team of Analytics Business partners that deliver analyses and reporting such as business case development, portfolio performance assessment, etc., and with the Delivery and Infrastructure teams to execute on large-scale or advanced analyses.

The Analytics Partnership Team Leader will manage the internal analytics consultants, each ABP will be dedicated to a business unit so that they build relationships and knowledge that serve the business unit effectively. This is a Regional role, responsible for interacting with Hub staff, as well as in market staff across the AP region.


To be successful this candidate must have a strong analytic and strategic bent, be comfortable creating structure, and driving change in a highly matrixed environment. The role will be responsible for developing a team and will require working closely with marketing, analytics/finance, legal/compliance, consulting services, innovation and other lines of business to ensure strategy alignment, synergies and the development of tools and assets to support the business.

The Analytics Partnership Team Leader (AP region) will lead the team responsible for providing world-class analytical support to an assigned business unit. The Leader will be responsible for:

Building and managing a high-functioning team
Generating demand for analytics within the assigned business unit (proactive)
Timely, accurate and agreed upon delivery of analyses for the business unit (reactive)
Supporting and promoting the effective use of analytics within Visa
Applying analytics to business problems, and interpreting and distributing results
Fostering greater analytic competency to support and guide more fact-based and timely decision making
Creating and applying innovative analytical methods of problem solving

The position is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and executing on analytics business plans
Lead the analytics strategy for the cross-functional teams, including business requirements and partnerships with Infrastructure and Delivery teams
Team leadership (direct responsibility for a team and significant priority-setting influence across the organization)
Provide ongoing input and leadership for large-scale projects across multiple dimensions (Technology, Finance, Operating Regulations, Issuers, Country Management, etc.)
Develop approach and methodology to analytical questions / projects brought by the business, gain buy-in on the approach, develop briefs and estimate costs
Responsible for increasing the number and quality of analytical engagements within the business unit
Pro-actively identifies areas of opportunity in collaboration with the business unit
Engages in the planning process with the business unit
Quality: Maintain a robust control environment in terms of data protection, Visa analytics quality standards, and compliance with benchmarking and disclosure rules
Infrastructure: Provide input and suggestions to improve the analytics infrastructure
Provide execution of Analytics activities / assignments in Visa
Provide highest quality services to Visa business units
Create awareness among Visa staff of Analytics approaches and solutions
Ensure internal and external clients are being effectively served by conducting ongoing satisfaction assessments
Developing new solutions, such as cross-sell propensity modeling (opportunity for non-carded customers to take up credit or debit cards)
Develop and enhance tools such as standardized data requirements, data maps, report formats, benchmark references
Qualifications

Professional

12 years of business experience, with a minimum of 7 years involved with analytics in banking/ payments industry
Strong academic credentials
Financial planning and analysis
Project management experience
Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
Must be team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing
capabilities
Cross-functional experience – skills in consulting, marketing, affluent, and analytics particularly relevant


Technical

Very strong project management skills and experience, preferably with a bottom-line orientation
Mastery of productivity tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Process improvement methods such as Six Sigma
Business Intelligence platforms (MSTR, SAS, etc.)
Visa and payment systems (TSYS, FDR, VisaNet, Interchange, ALP)
An understanding of statistical analysis, modeling, scoring schemes, etc.
Working knowledge of statistical principles such as linear regression, logistic regression, univariate and multivariate analysis, and experimental design
Data processing and analysis
Financial management
Project management
Experience and in-depth knowledge of the cards and payments business
Understanding of card issuers’ P&L and critical factors in driving profitability
Relationship management skills.
Experience presenting ideas and analysis to stakeholders
