Job Description:
The Global Industry Solutions Group is looking for a dynamic person that will drive a unified global strategy around selling to Cities and Urbanization organizations as we grow our sales and solution capabilities in this $24 Billion market. This individual will be key in building new sales models and enabling the field sales team as they work to grow revenue, consumption, and mindshare across Oracle’s cloud offerings.
This individual will develop Cities and Urbanization solution strategies that include applications, technology, cloud, and systems capabilities, but also identifying and delivering industry solutions/product development requirements with sales/business case justification for target markets. Responsibilities also include all aspects of solution development lifecycle, including Industry Solution Accelerators/Demos, joint solution offers and industry certifications.
Detailed Position Description
The ideal candidate:
Defines go-to-market strategy and activities for engaging with cities and urbanization-focused organizations.
Defines target markets and recommend market segment solutions and sales strategy.
Responsible for industry solution sales enablement.
Deliver sales training to support Industry Solutions, Sales Campaigns, and Product Positioning with Sales and Partners.
Train account teams on industry trends, solutions, and consultative selling.
Manage/lead virtual team to enable sales. Hold review calls with the xLOB sales teams for product pillars or focus countries to align sales enablement, demand generation, partner recruitment, and industry revenue.
Collaborate with Product Development and country sales management across the regions on strategies and high-level tactics to deliver Oracle solutions that support the Cities industry needs.
Support development of new business opportunities and partner relationships to grow pipeline.
Establishes key relationships with customers, partners and industry analysts.
Presents/demonstrates solutions to high level clients and industry conference attendees.
Acknowledged authority within the Corporation.
Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology.
Contributes to cities and urban initiatives industry communities.
Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.
Supports planning and participate in marketing events and external forums.
Participates in Industry Strategy Council meetings and events.
Preferred Qualifications
12 years applicable experience preferred.
Subject matter expertise in global city/urbanization trends and sales/support.
Knowledge of key industry leaders and management.
Knowledge of Oracle competition.
Presentation and product demonstration experience.
Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers.
Travel required.
BA/BS degree in related field.
