Position Description:
SunGard Financial Systems provides mission-critical software and IT services to institutions in virtually every segment of the financial services industry. The primary purpose of these systems is to automate the many detailed processes associated with trading, managing investment portfolios and accounting for investment assets. These solutions address the processing requirements of a broad range of users within financial services, including asset managers, traders, custodians, compliance officers, treasurers, insurers, risk managers, hedge fund managers, plan administrators and clearing agents. In addition, we also provide professional services that focus on application implementation and integration of these solutions and on custom software development. *

Job Overview
The role will be based in Singapore and will be reporting directly to the APAC CFO. The FP&A role is a senior finance position overseeing the financial management of a business unit as well as taking the lead as the FPA head for the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of 2 people.


Responsibilities
Business Unit Finance Executive
* Analyse business unit product performance vs. plan and initiate change when necessary with the business unit leader
* Manage the financial process for the business unit, including budgeting/planning, forecasting, monthly/quarterly/annual management reporting
* In conjunction with the accounting team, ensure that the business unit's financial data are maintained in accordance with US GAAP and SunGard's specific financial policies.
* Partner with the Group finance team, shared service centers and corporate finance to maintain an effective system of internal control.
* Analyse and monitor the capitalization of software development projects or similar treatment in accordance with GAAP and SunGard policies
* Work closely with legal and corporate compliance on issues that arise in the group
* Appropriately mentor and develop the finance staff supporting the segment APAC FPA Lead
* Ensure the on-going governance of the APAC monthly review cycles across the region by Group and where possible, look at opportunities to improve the cadence process
* Set-up and on-going management of the regional scorecard which includes reporting, analytics and working with the Group finance and business heads to put in mitigation actions where required
* Management of the International Distribution cost centre across APAC - this is a cost center management function that requires ensuring that the forecast and current plans are geared towards achieving the business objectives as well as budget targets

Position Requirements:
Essential Skills
* CPA qualified
* At least 15 years of related working experience
* Expertise in US GAAP revenue recognition and Software Capitalization policies
* Excellent ability to work with senior executive team and manage as well as develop qualified staff
* Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, working independently
