Director, Mobile & Video, APAC
As the Director, Mobile & Video you will report to the Vice President, Asia Pacific in Singapore and receive functional direction from the VP Emerging Solutions in PubMatic’s Emerging Solutions team. You will be responsible for the strategy, implementation and growth of PubMatic’s mobile and video business across the APAC region. Working with existing teams out of Australia, India, Japan and Singapore you will support their new and existing publishers by providing deep subject matter expertise, recommend any localisation for the markets, implementation guidance and assist with demand enablement. Forging relationships with publishers and strategic partners in new territories across APAC will also be a priority.

The position requires a sophisticated understanding of the media landscape, especially mobile and video, and the history and digital evolution in media. Expert technical knowledge of DSP and SSP workflow and integration requirements is mandatory. Experience in areas of CRM, advanced analytics, business intelligence and enterprise information management will contribute to differentiate the leading candidates. Experience will also include but not be limited to: a sophisticated understanding of Real Time Bidding; Ad Network strategies and tactics; Audience Targeting best practices; Ad Serving; Audience Data Collecting/Tracking; Media Reporting and Analytics in mobile and video. The best candidates will have a deep sense of customer needs, and an in-depth knowledge of competitive offerings. They will lean on personal experiences to establish credible arguments and trusted client relationships.
Responsibilities:
In collaboration with the VP, APAC formulate and implement a go to market strategy for the mobile and video products that meet the commercial imperatives of the business
Work with the Emerging Solutions team to localise and rollout our mobile and video business lines in APAC
Prioritise market, customer and product opportunities to drive business growth
Lead sales efforts through all aspects of the sales cycle including relationship initiation, negotiation and closing with publishers and strategic partners
Assist the Director, Advertiser Solutions, APAC with sourcing and integrating mobile and video demand sources that increase sell through and yield
Work with directly managed resources in the Emerging Solutions team, in combination with the wider Publisher Sales and Advertiser Solutions organisations to achieve business objectives
Define revenue targets; reach or exceed quarterly revenue goals
Continuous prospect for new business using your existing network of relationships and creating new relationships
Evangelise the PubMatic solution to the assigned market
Develop and grow PubMatic’s market presence
Work closely with Product and Engineering to ensure that APAC market requirements are represented within the product roadmap

Desired Skills and Experience
Desired Experience:
Ideal candidate will have worked at an ad serving technology (Desktop or Mobile - i.e. DoubleClick, Freewheel, AdMarvel, mOcean, MoPub, MobClix) company, or an ad network (i.e. ValueClick, 24/7, Ad.com, Millennial Media, AdMob, Velti) and/or large media company
Strong knowledge and familiarity with Internet advertising models, ad optimisation, audience trends and technologies
Strong set of existing relationships with large media companies at the VP Sales level, VP/Director, Ad Ops and comfortable with running C-level relationships
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and impeccable business judgment; professional distinction in thought leadership and innovation
Solid communication and interpersonal skills; ability to be personable yet persistent
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Strong written, presenting and oral communication skills
Ability to learn, take charge and deliver results with minimal supervision
High energy, self-motivated and passionate about working in a fast paced start up environment
5+ years in a sales or business development role in the mobile, video or online industry
2+ years in mobile and or video required
BA/BS degree required, MBA/JD a plus
