The Role
The Corporate Communications function is viewed by Netflix senior management as strategically critical to building on the company's already impressive success in a fast-changing, highly competitive global media landscape.
Reporting directly to the Chief Communications Officer, the Director of Asia Communications will be a member of a small, seasoned group of communications pros helping to formulate, execute and sustain a global media strategy for Netflix specifically in the APAC region.
This individual will be key in building the Netflix brand and its service in Asia, focusing on technology and corporate communications issues.
Other Responsibilities Of The Comms Director Will Be
communications around relationships with Internet Service Providers and consumer electronics companies, including the continuing enhancement of the Netflix ISP Speed Index
storytelling about Netflix innovations in areas such as user interface design, personalization, adaptive streaming and cloud computing
timely and effective response on a wide range of corporate and technology related issues
ownership of the Netflix reviewers program
run the various Netflix blogs and manage the Netflix media presence at key industry events like the Consumer Electronics Show
