Job description
The Program Management Director leads the planning and management of selected large and/or complex transformation programs and projects (e.g., Integrated Planning) for Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMA) with a focus on effective program and change management to achieve successful transformation outcomes

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Successful program management (50%)
Applies program management techniques, methods and tools adapted for a business environment in the planning and management all aspects of the design, development and implementation of the transformation program.*
Effectively engages key mid- and senior-level stakeholders throughout the initiative, using appropriate cross-cultural communication, influencing and facilitation skills.*
Ensures sponsorship and resource support for the program and discrete projects within the program through collaboration with business leaders, steering committees and consulting partners.*
Maintain integrity of the global model while activating capabilities across Commercial, Supply, Retail, Brand and Financial Planning for AMA.
Effectively manages the handoff of accountability for operationalizing the outcomes of the implemented initiative to regional business leadership.
Transformation outcomes optimized through effective change planning and management (40%)
Develops change management plans, detailing phases/steps necessary to accomplish large-scale change.
Partners with project team members and other key stakeholders (e.g., HR/L&D) to build these plans and supporting solutions that are appropriate for impacted stakeholders and drive greater organizational capability across countries/regions.
Effectively communicates change plans to cross-functional teams to gain buy-in and sense of ownership.
Monitors change management issues and risks that need to be addressed/mitigated for successful implementation of initiatives.
Oversees the development of internal communication plans to keep program participants and stakeholders up to date (on training, implementation status, etc.).
Manages the execution of these plans to ensure sufficient organizational readiness and implementation support is in place
Living &CO expectations (10%)
Provides strategic consultation and effective facilitation with mid-and senior-level leaders within the scope of business areas impacted by the transformation initiative.
Effectively manages and coaches direct report and contractors, and contributes to a high-performing team and growth in individual talent.*

Desired Skills and Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Apparel or related field required, Masters in Business Administration desirable.

Experience:
Experience:
Minimum 8-10 years related business operations or process improvement project management experience, to include 5+ years direct experience in Consumer Packaged Goods / Apparel (strongly preferred) plus 2 years of experience managing project managers. Basic experience in supply/demand planning (e.g., knowledge of relevant nomenclature and concepts). Marketing and product lifecycle experience desirable.
Project management certification required
Consulting experience strongly preferred
Facilitation of both small and large groups, including senior-level leaders
Demonstrated experience influencing change outside of span of control or authority
Effective integration of appropriate change management/training activities, suitable for varying cultures/functions, to support attainment of desired project outcomes and business benefits
Success building mid-level and senior-level stakeholder support across regions/countries, including North and South Asia

Knowledge, Skills, &Abilities:
Complex program/project management capabilities; including planning, scheduling, status reporting and accountability management
Global mindset and cultural sensitivity; flexible and effective in managing/working across time zones
Excellent verbal communication skills in cross-cultural environments: demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions, engage participants in collaboration, lead group to consensus, drive meetings forward while effectively handling conflicting opinions
Strong executive presence
Ability to provide effective direction to multiple project teams to achieve overall program results
Can obtain results through both formal channels and informal networking
Can work in, and bring structure to ambiguous environments and relate well to people at all levels of the organization and across regions/cultures
Ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations, win concessions without damaging relationships; be direct and forceful as well as diplomatic
Open to different approaches; willing to challenge status quo
Adequate understanding of relevant IT systems in the areas of planning and product development
Advanced MS Project, Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint skills
