Job description
The Sales Director's role is to create a high performing sales organization and will:
1. Deliver Results · Drive his/her team to achieve and exceed country revenue and profit targets
2. Innovate · Lead his/her team to identify and execute on strategies and tactics that create competitive advantage, grow share, and achieve/maintain a number 1 or 2 market share position
3. Build organizational capability· Select people who can excel at their jobs and enable them to do so through setting expectations, motivating them, and developing them. Foster teamwork and best practices across Seagate Key Activities
Deliver ResultsDrive his/her team to achieve and exceed country revenue and profit targets
Convert the country revenue and profit goals into measurable sales and marketing activities
Allocate resources against strategic and tactical initiatives with the greatest potential for generating revenue and profit
Ensure regular assessment of performance is conducted on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Inspire others with a drive to achieve (entrepreneurial-like hunger), especially when closing the quarter
InnovateLead his/her team to identify and execute on strategies and tactics that create competitive advantage, grow share, and achieve/maintain a number 1 or 2 market share positions
Guide and ensure execution of customer intimacy strategy to increase share of business in existing accounts and Seagate's competitive differentiation in the market
Develop thought partnering relationships with senior executives in existing and new channel partners that lead to new business development opportunities
Discover customer insights through proactively assessing market trends, competitor dynamics, and channel partner and end-user customer unmet needs to identify value creation opportunities.
Generate new value creation opportunities through breakthrough thinking. Identify and bring to Seagate opportunities for innovative ways to compete in mature market: product line extensions, feature enhancements, go to market strategies, enhancing the customer experience, and/or ways to gain competitive advantage through operational effectiveness and efficiency
Develop, continually refine and communicate the overall strategy for growing SBS business in the country. Proactively work the strategy with country, regional and headquarters management organizations prior to formalizing it in the annual strategic planning process.

Set expectations through communicating the strategy and plans to achieve country sales goals, clear definition of the processes and job responsibilities to do so, and providing the tools to do the job. Establish processes and norms to provide people with clear understanding of their development needs and strengths and regular review of their progress, and the coaching, mentoring, and formal training they need for professional growth. Foster teamwork and best practices across Seagate
Build a culture of teamwork, straight talk, decisiveness, and passion for and personal dedication to the business through role modeling these behaviors and establishing them as norms for the team
Develop cross-organizational relationships with Seagate enabling optimal execution of internal processes, leverage of resources, and go-to-market strategies
Create, identify, and facilitate sharing of best practices
Responsibilities:
- Region coverage - Asia Pacific Region
- Identify, lead and manage a cross regional sales & marketing team (direct and indirect) to deliver the results
Desired Skills and Experience
- 10 years sales management experience
- broad experience across Asia Pacific markets
- extensive background in consumer IT retail sales is a MUST
