Position Summary
This individual will be part of a Shared Services environment, and will be one of the Directors in the AP team responsible for the operational performance of the Region’s Procurement Operations, which includes daily supervision and oversight of procurement operations staff, leading business improvement teams and initiatives which result in measureable business efficiencies while ensuring that deliverables are according to Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) with internal customers across Visa.

Responsibilities

Control and monitor delivery of all procurement transactions and (shared) services consistent with Company policy and guidelines.
Clearly defines roles throughout Procurement Operations.
Ensures that SLA’s are met or exceeded in all areas of Shared Services.
Designs and implements process controls, identifies process owners and implements process improvement and best practices across departments.
Partners with all levels of leadership to ensure that operational goals and objectives are strategically aligned to support overall strategy of organization.
Serve as the point of escalation on internal customer requests & issues that cannot be resolved by the Customer Relations team.
Establishes culture and work environment within the operations team that is customer service and process improvement focused.
Provide management updates and serve as the point of escalation on internal customer requests.
Prepares metrics, status and system performance reports related to internal customer service activities as well as ad-hoc reporting requests.
Proactively communicates strategy and process updates to inform stakeholders regarding planned procurement operations activities that will impact them.
Oversees Supplier Setup, Contract Administration, Reporting and Catalog Maintenance resources.
Oversee the buying team to ensure delivery of buying activities on time, to agreed specifications and within budget.


Qualifications

Professional

Undergraduate degree required
Graduate degree in business, economics or public policy preferred
Professional accreditation in sourcing, procurement or inventory management a plus

Technical

At least 10 years of shared service experience, preferably in a buying center or procurement and sourcing transaction processing center
At least 5 years of supervision in a shared services buying center or procurement transaction processing center
Experience with the design and implementation planning for a shared services buying center
Demonstrated ability to identify, evaluate and develop shared service buying center talent from available resources or leverage new resources
Knowledgeable about contractual, purchase request, purchase order, supplier setup, and catalog document processing

Business

Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesize information and make concise recommendations on course of action
Demonstrated expertise in people management, mentoring and training
Ability to identify and pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously and deliver superior results
Experience with the development of communication and change management plans associated with the implementation of a shared services buying center
Experience with the transition and take on leadership of a shared services buying center
