Operations Manager - APAC - Facebook - Singapore


Job description
Facebook is looking for a high caliber business leader to join the APAC regional operations team. The Operations Manager supports the APAC sales organization in meeting its strategic objectives by driving business planning and review efforts, strategic projects/initiatives and managing/supporting the overall operating cadence of the business. Partnering with cross-functional groups the Operations Manager will deliver programs that enable the Sales team to operate as a cohesive and integrated team, drive scalable revenue growth and operational effectiveness across the region. This person will also support the RVP and/or Regional Director(s) in managing/coordinating regionally dispersed teams, communicating a shared vision and driving cross-functional alignment as needed.

Responsibilities

Business and strategic planning: Support senior management in strategic, business and operational planning and ensure decisions in line with the global sales organization’s approach
Ensure we have strong plans at a market (sub-region, country), vertical and account level
Develop go-to-market strategy/plan for APAC opportunities, e.g. new markets, products or businesses, vertical deep dives, organizational restructuring
Provide business analytic strength to help drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth
Provide sophisticated research and analysis (e.g. market/industry/competitive trends and insights) for the business leadership to support decision-making
Strategic projects and initiatives:Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives for the APAC business, partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses and translate these into actionable recommendations for senior leaders
Lead/facilitate cross functional teams to get work done, driving recommendations through to implementation
Communicate findings from initiatives to senior management and to the broader organization
Together with Sales Operations lead, drive operational excellence in the Sales organization through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business
Partner with leaders and HR BP on Organizational Effectiveness
Operating cadence and cross-functional alignment:Lead operational reviews and rhythm of the business to drive decision-making and review progress on regional goals and priorities (e.g. monthly/quarterly business reviews)
Drive streamlined and efficient regional processes
Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company and represent the region with cross-functional teams
Support the Regional VP and Country Heads in developing and communicating a consistent vision and focus across the organization


Requirements

Bachelor degree in business, marketing or other related discipline from a top-tier institution. MBA a plus
8+ years of project management and/or business operations experience preferably in the digital media or internet space
Experience leading strategy and operations projects at a top-tier consulting firm or in a corporate strategy/operations team. Change management experience a plus
Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, ability to solve complex and diverse business problems (commercial, operational, organizational)
Strong project management and influencing skills and ability to lead and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization
Solutions and detail oriented, with strong commercial/business acumen
Understanding of organizational dynamics, operating experience with large and complex organizations
People and team leadership skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superior Excel and PowerPoint skills
