Job Description:
The successful candidate will be a member of the worldwide Network Processing, Dispute Resolution team, responsible for all aspects of managing and leading a globally distributed, technically diverse, Test Engineering team. This position will be responsible for managing the Performance, Automation and Manual test teams, located in Singapore, Foster City, CA and Kolkata, India. The candidate will serve as a key liaison between the business product office, project management, the development staff and external test teams to ensure that test deliverables are of high-quality, and delivered on-time and on-budget.

Responsibilities

Define overall strategy for Test Engineering Team.
Collaborate with Development and Test Engineering staff in multiple geographic locations; set clear, aligned goals and direction; delegate and provide candid feedback and coaching to maximize team competency and create a world-class Test engineering team
Financial responsibility for a 2 million dollar cost center and a 1 million dollar offshore vendor contract
Achieving high-quality results by making sound, timely business decisions; cost-effectively using resources.
Formulate, implement and track strategic initiatives for the Performance, Automation and Manual test teams.
Manage relationship with business partners, product management, development and external teams to ensure a collaborative, smooth, healthy and open working relationship is maintained
Handle routine daily activities such as logistics, coordination, coaching, mentoring, recruiting, planning, delivery, quality, customer/vendor relationships, performance metrics, operations, efficiency and other services
Actively drive the maturation of the Performance test team to ensure there are no performance related production incidents.
Actively drive the automation of manual test processes in collaboration with development to increase team productivity, expand test coverage, and reduce regression test costs.
Develop and maintain the department's Test Data Management Strategy.

Qualifications

At least a BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IS, or other related field with a minimum of 15 years of IT experience with 10 years of experience as a QA/Test Manager with at least 5 years of experience in a Senior Manager role.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage large Test teams that are distributed across multiple geographical locations.
Demonstrated very strong knowledge of the software quality assurance / test engineer processes and various development methodologies.
Financial / budgetary proficiency and acumen
Strong technical competency and experience with web applications, web services, various automation frameworks, performance engineering / test tools.
Significant test data management experience
Experience in an iterative development environment including continuous integration and deployment.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, leadership skills an interpersonal skills
Proven ability to collaborate and work horizontally throughout a complex organization
Flexible and creative thinker with the ability to define business tradeoffs, generate out-of-the-box solutions and manage uncertainty
Demonstrated extensive knowledge of assessing risks and recommending risk mitigation options
Knowledge and/or experience in finance/payment industry a plus
