Position Overview:
The Director of Marketing will oversee the delivery
of marketing strategies and services to Legal, Tax & Accounting and
Intellectual Property & Science business units in GGO ANA. The role will be
responsible to architect the customer experience by designing, coordinating,
executing and measuring the effectiveness of compelling strategic marketing
activities. The Director of Marketing
will lead a team responsible for implementing and managing processes to ensure
smooth operation of strategic marketing plans, marketing performance
measurement (dashboard development), and marketing infrastructure.
Essential Responsibilities:
Accountable for the development of marketing strategies and marketing
campaigns in support of growth initiatives and the GGO ANA key account program.
Leads planning, implementation and measurement of the success of
specific marketing deliverables, including but not limited to strategic events
and direct marketing, to build brand awareness of Thomson Reuters’ content and
software solutions in Asia.
Develops strategic marketing plans through market research, competitive
analysis, pricing, customer engagement, and business planning.
Develops strategies to meet competitive threats and/or develop
strategies to achieve competitive advantage.
Launch the selected offerings and manages the ongoing communications
with target audiences
Improve utility and effectiveness of customer databases
Gains commitment and guides implementation of these marketing plans to
ensure delivery of expected results.
Works directly and builds strong relationship with ANA strategy team, business
segment and commercials leads and sales teams to initiate and implement marketing
initiatives.
Builds strong collaboration with global marketing teams to leverage on
existing marketing strategies and material to the fullest, localizing where
necessary.
Collaborates closely with Asian Legal Business team to leverage and
optimize marketing opportunities that arise from ALB products and events.
Responsible for the optimization of annual marketing spend and
leveraging use of talent and resources in Thomson Reuters operations centre.
Monitors budget spend by implementing metrics to effectively measure ROI
for each initiative, and contribute to the transparency of reporting on all
activities.
Ensures deliverables demonstrate value and a return on investment, meet
our customers’ strategic requirements and Thomson Reuters quality standards,
including brand guidelines.
Manages local / virtual teams and has overall responsibility for
building and maintaining a high performance culture through effective
performance management, communication and coaching of staff.

Advanced
degree preferred
Required Skills and Experience:
In-depth Marketing perspective / understanding of how marketing can
benefit Thomson Reuters business in order to set industry and business
precedents and stay ahead of the competition.
Must have substantial experience of delivering strong, influential
communications materials and ability to deliver complex analyses (could be
internal/external) on behalf of an organization.
Individual must possess excellent marketing communication skills, strong
marketing insight and have a high degree of customer orientation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to provide
thought leadership and influence others.
Excellent organizational / project
management skills working with ability to work in and across a multi-lingual
and multi-cultural environment.
Experience in creation and implementation of global management and
marketing standards. Ability to deploy marketing best practices and tools
Good domain knowledge of one or more Marketing Functional Specialties
and a good knowledge of at least one or more of Thomson Reuters core business
segments.
Strong knowledge of the creative Marketing process, including: defining
resource levels; providing clear direction and coaching to improve the team's
output; and producing work on budget and on time.
Ability to bring innovation and freshness to our marketing execution.
Highly collaborative individual with proven ability to work well within
a matrix organization, working with stakeholders to manage budget resources and
achieving internal customer satisfaction through the successful delivery of
Marketing services.
Prior experience managing team members would be beneficial.
Experience working directly with senior-level business leaders.
Strong internal and external communicator; strong project management,
budget management and influencing skills.
