Job description
Build and execute new country launch for iPhone and iPad in emerging markets in South Asia.
Key Qualifications
8 years of tier one carrier or global distributor or smartphone vendor experience in developing markets and/or Asia Pacific, ideally in a Mid-Senior Management capacity currently
Demonstrated superior carrier and open channel / distribution experience - candidates must have managed (and ideally set up) successful carrier relationships and distribution relationships in complex, fragmented channel environments achieving globally superior outcomes, Managed revenue outcomes and sales or marketing teams of at least 10-15 personnel with whole of country or regional scope
Demonstrated experience of leading carrier/vendor strategic planning and carrier/channel partner commercial engagement at a whole of country or regional level - and executing successfully achieving superior and consistent business outcomes
Ability to take these attributes, blend them appropriately and communicate country iPhone and iPad plans to senior Apple stakeholders up to and including SVP/C level.
Description
The iPhone / iPad distribution Business Development Lead is responsible for enlarging the iPhone and iPad sales footprint in the South Asia region. This will be achieved by launching iPhone across multiple emerging and remote markets rapidly and successfully through FY14. Once launched the role will be responsible for the delivery of sales outcomes for iPhone and iPad in these markets. It will be furthermore responsible for the delivery of sales programs to optimize performance, commercial outcomes and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Assess individual country markets for opportunity for iPhone and iPad launch; maintains co-ordination with equivalent manager for emerging markets expansion for CPU and iPod
Communicate and collaborate with internal teams gaining approval and internal prioritization for launch
Manage multiple country launches simultaneously, with aligned carrier and distributor launches in country where appropriate
Manage performance of markets post launch via a systemic and process oriented ‘light touch’ methodology
Maintains an excellent relationship with carriers at all stages of programs,
Aware of competitor's activities, account history, emerging trends and understand how to create and capitalize on opportunities.
Will develop and maintain an effective planning and strategic partnership with South Asia country iPhone teams
Increase penetration of the iPhone to new and existing points of sale and expand Apple's mindshare within channel partner sales teams.
Ensures compliance with the Apple/Carrier/Distributor iPhone agreement
Collaborates wih Apple support functions to resolve day-to-day trading issues in the account.
Education
Position requires a degree qualification or equivalent.
