Risk Manager - General Insurance - AXA - Singapore

Job description

Develop and drive a sound, open and pro-active risk culture, working closely and collectively with functional units to support management in ensuring their key risks are identified, assessed, reported and managed.
Ensure that effective risk management frameworks are established and implemented to comply with AXA Group, regional and statutory risk management standards, to include:

Risk Management Policy
Risk Appetite
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA)
Systematic 2nd opinion

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure compliance with the Group and the Regulatory requirements in terms of establishing an effective and comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework
Develop and implement the ORSA to encompass both the process undertaken to assess the risks and capital requirements and the documentation required
Review and enhance the Risk Appetite Framework to ensure that the risk taking capacity is translated into functional risk indicators.
Review the Reinsurance program and retention strategy to ensure efficiency of reinsurance and to limit all risks attached to reinsurance operations
Assist in the implementation and in the regular review of the risk management policy
Enforce the Product Approval Process and review the profitability of GI products
Perform independent 2ndopinion on reserves
Participate to the industry discussions including RBC2 developments
Assist in the secretariat of the Risk Committee to ensure that senior management regularly reviews the risk profile of the business and the associated mitigation plans

Desired Skills and Experience

Accountancy/ Finance/ Business Administration or similar degree
4-6 years experience in the insurance industry
Experience in operational risk management
Good financial and business analysis skills
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Team player with drive and initiation to push action, high degree of self responsibility
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required
Strong stake-holdings skills
