To manage these Opportunities and Challenges, Tektronix Communications has created the role of an Account Manager.
Key aspects of this role include:
* A high frequency of sales calls to all divisions within telecom carriers, including face-to-face and phone meetings, developing detailed business plans, coordinate technical demonstrations and actively maintaining customer information in a contact management tool.
* Execution of sales strategies to achieve business plan/revenue goals and expand the market penetration.
* Technically adept to engage customers in the sales activity of Tektronix Communications solutions and services.
Objectives
The main objectives of the Account Manager are:
* Promoting & Selling Tektronix Communication solutions & services to Telecom Operators & Carriers customers.
Responsible For
The Account Manager’s primary responsibilities include:
* Achieve revenue targets for the assigned territory
* Identify, Focus, Develop & Grow the Major Accounts & segments.
* Develop and implement the territory sales strategy.
* Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key customer contacts and Senior Executives
Duties/Activities
The main activities of the Account Manager are:
* Represent the company to the customer/reseller in all sales-oriented activities:
* Conduct sales calls at the required frequency
* Prepare and arrange to deliver customer demo
* Produce weekly forecasts and monthly business plan update
* Perform and deliver sales operations excellence
Qualifications

* A good level of persistence
* Should have the ability to work independently with minimum guidance or supervision.
* Should have working knowledge in Telecom technologies like GSM, GPRS, UMTS, SS#7, IN and a good understanding of telecommunication applications and markets.
* Must have experience and proven track record in selling solutions & Applications to wireless & wireline carriers with good communications skills (oral and written).
* Must have CXO level contacts within the organizational structure of telecom carriers.
Background
* Graduate / Post Graduate Engineering in Electronics & Communication.
* A minimum of 12+ years of relevant working experience in Telecom/IT Industry.
Travel
* Domestic and International travel is required.
