Director Sales Strategy Development NBC Universal Singapore

Job Description:
• Market Analysis: Monitoring Region’s macroeconomic trends, programming trends, competitive landscape and new technologies for deep dive territory reviews and organic business opportunities;
• Financials Analysis: Run financial analysis and models for larger, key deal negotiations across both TV distribution and UNI channels;
• Standard Practices and Benchmarking: Maintain consistent business practices across key deal terms and benchmarking exercises for appropriate fees across businesses.
• Deal Support: Active member in deal team in structuring and negotiating long-term television licensing agreements, channel affiliate deals and advertising sales agreements.
• Client Contact: Maintain strong working relationships with internal clients across affiliates sales and TV distribution sales as well as external client contacts as part of negotiating team

• Strategic Initiatives: Closely aligned with Business Development and Managing Director in analysis of new business opportunities;
• Create ad-hoc strategic reports and presentations for senior management
• Support VP, Sales strategy

Skills And Experience

• Successful candidate should possess a BS/BA or masters degree (strongly preferred) in business or economics;
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in business development, strategic planning, finance or consulting in the media/entertainment industry; direct experience with content licensing and/or channel carriage agreements preferred
• Candidate must possess superior financial modeling, analytical skills and an ability and willingness to work at a high level of detail as well as good written and oral communication skills for presentations to senior management
• Must have very strong Excel and Powerpoint skills, Experience with Salesforce a plus
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity are necessary for international colleagues and clients
• Some travel and flexible hours to accommodate a multi-time zone international business
• Self-motivated, proactive individual capable of working collaboratively as a member of multiple teams as well as independently;

ResponsibilitiesThe Director, Sales Strategy and Development will ideally be a highly motivated leader with a strong strategic business mind and analytical skillset in a multicultural, dynamic environment. This Director will play a pivotal role for the Asia Pacific Sales and Commercial Operations team, which focuses on maximizing affiliate and advertising revenue for the Universal channels portfolio and distribution of NBCU theatrical and television product across all TV windows (VOD, EST, SVOD, FOD, Pay, Free, and Basic).
