Job description
This position has Controllership responsibilities for South Asia with a focus on enabling the hyper growth in strategic markets in ASEAN and other emerging South Asian countries.
This position will be responsible for managing and delivering financial metrics with full Controllership in driving growth, improved profitability, and liquidity. It will also drive the financial plans and policies of the organization, including establishment and maintenance of fiscal controls, preparation and interpretation of financial reports, and safeguarding of the organization's assets.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work with the Country General Managers (GM) and Controllers to ensure profitable growth for these busineses, delivering financial targets with strong business partnership.
· Work closely with country and regional Finance teams as well as cross functional teams like the BU’s (EUC, ESG, Services and Software), Marketing, IT, Logistics, Sales Operations, etc. to develop, plan and implement key strategies and initiatives that will enable the accelerated growth of this emerging markets.
· Drive forecast and annual & 3YP plan cycle, liaising with business owners, marketing and services to build business execution plans with the executive team.
· Work with the country leadership team during targeting process ensuring that targets allocated to team meet business objectives using a balanced & fair methodology.
· Review and approval of commercial opportunities and understanding of competitor offerings/opportunities to be able to make informed pricing and other strategic decisions
· Work closely with regional and global GFS and DFS teams to enable credit and financing oppoertunities in these markets.
· Support and drive global initiatives within APJ as they apply to the region – as defined by WW teams & Dell Strategy including finance support & leadership for strategic changes programs within region.
· Partner with the APJ FP&A teams on all aspects of planning, budgets, outlooks, close and direct Opex management. , Ensuring all internal deadlines are met; controllable Opex must be within agreed budget. Be an advocate of internal discretionary cost control
· In co-operation with country Controllership and regional business controls team, ensure adequate internal controls are in place in the business and that there are adequate procedures and processes within the organization to maintain a strong control environment.
· Support, participate, and lead APJ finance initiatives
· Ensure adherence to Governance, SOX & Revenue Recognition policy
· Lead, develop, and mentor direct reports.

Qualifications
High energy Finance professional with a solid Controllership foundation who is proactive, solution oriented and customer focused.

Candidates should be graduates of Finance, Business or Accounting with a minimum of 15 years of post-qualification Finance experience, including prior FP&A or Sales Controllership exposure and at least 5+ years of People Management experience. Additional professional qualifications, including CPA’s or MBA’s will be advantageous.

Candidates should also have the following competencies
