Job Description

This is an opportunity for an ambitious transaction banker to join Client Access Product Development team and drive key initiatives in line with overall growth agenda for Transaction Banking business.

This is an associate director level role reporting to the team lead for Cash and Trade Channel Development. The primary focus of the role will be on Cash / Trade initiatives, but with the opportunity for the successful candidate to provide secondary support in other areas such as Network Banking etc.

The incumbent will work closely with our Technology partners across Client Access, Cash and Trade Product management, Central Product development, and where necessary our sales organisations as well.


The successful candidate will adopt best practices and a structured approach towards product development. You will bring value to the role through detailed, comprehensive and accurate articulation of business requirements, followed by end-to-end ownership to ensure successful delivery and deployment. Your clearly-demonstrated understanding of the business needs and the corresponding solutions will establish you as the domain subject matter expert.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Lead, own and drive portfolio of Client Access development projects & initiatives, beginning with detailed, comprehensive and accurate articulation of business requirements, followed by end-to-end ownership to ensure successful delivery and deployment
2. Manage governance of initiatives including facilitation of Project Work Groups and where necessary project steering committee reviews
3.Engage and manage external resources if and when required
4. Work closely with Architecture team to ensure design and developments of new product functions are in line with target state architecture.
5 Work closely with Operation team to ensure changes in processes are understood and documented by Operations partners in line with rollout of new product offering.
6. Facilitate / Support internal training (Train the Trainer environment) for Product, Service and operations teams in partnership with Product Management.
7. Provide leadership in client pilots, client migration and conducting post implementation reviews

Qualifications & Skills

1. 1 Relevant first-hand experience and a proven track record of managing product management and development functions in Transaction banking, particularly on the electronic channels space.

2. Prior experience in conceptualizing and clearly articulating sustainable and cost-efficient business solutions.

3. Ability to foresee and address roadblocks; decisiveness and judgment to cope up with high-paced project environment and timelines

4. Deep understanding of the cash management domain with a profound ability to conceive and design end-to-end product flows, define interface requirements, identify relevant operational processes and clearly articulate these flows and processes to the relevant business and technology workgroups.

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively translate client feedback and requests into concise and unambiguous business requirements as well as translate a business concept into a comprehensive client value proposition.

6. Proven inter-personal skills to actively engage with cross-cultural teams across the globe in understanding client needs, training the frontline country staff, managing client queries and feedback etc.

7. Profound understanding of technology; proven ability to translate technology possibilities and solutions to business / client usage opportunities will be an added advantage.

8. Strong presentation and project management skills. Must manage internal / external stakeholders to align on priorities, meet deliverables and implement high-quality solution

9. Self-driven and highly motivated professional with a strong sense of ownership and a passion towards delivering high-quality client solutions.
