Director - Distributed Core Infrastructure - Citi - Singapore

Job description
· This position reports to the APAC CIS Regional Head. · This role has responsibility for providing subject matter expertise and leadership managing senior staff in the Asia Pacific regional centers of excellence (COEs) and countries to provide Operational Management of the various Distributed Core Infrastructure Services (DCIS) functions for the Core Infrastructure Services organization. · The Regional DCIS group consist of the following operating units: Application Infrastructure Hosting, Distributed Storage, Network and Voice Operations.
· The APAC Distributed Core Infrastructure team consists of about 750 Regional Managers, Staff, SOW Consultants and Contractors responsible for managing the Distributed Server environment consisting of around 7000 Unix and Wintel Operating System instances; and, encompasses a storage estate in excess of 18 Petabytes of various storage environment (SAN/NAS/Backup) located in strategic data centers and tech rooms across Asia Pacific and other regions. · The group is also responsible for managing 14,000 Cisco routers/switches and international bandwidth of 53 GB and PABX of 70,000 telephone sets, and 27,000 voice logger channels in Asia. · The Group Head manages an annual operating expense budget of US$250MM. · Expert Knowledge of Storage Technologies including EMC, HDS, Netapp and IBM · Expert Knowledge of Fabric Switch technologies including CISCO and Brocade. · Detailed understanding of SAN/NAS

Detailed understanding of Financial Management within a large Corporation, including budgets, billing, forecasting, etc · Full exposure to commercial activities within a Storage Environment. · Excellent Track record of Vendor Management · Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving · Experience of working in a heavily controls-focused environment is highly desirable · Experience manager with proven track record Interacting with senior management and clients · Track record of effective communication · Educated to degree level or equivalent preferred · ITIL certification a significant advantage
