Director Channel Sales ASEAN Veritas Symantec Singapore

Job Description:
Experience in dealing with the channel partners within the ASEAN region. • Ability to remote manage a team • Solid knowledge on the different channel routes to market (GSI, LAR, VAR, OEM, MSP, Distribution) • Assimilate global strategy, adapt and deploy strategy in the respective regions with regular cadence and measurement for success. • Ability to influence broader channel team to execute strategy in each region. • Ability to develop innovative ideas in exploring new routes to market • Work closely with global channel lead, marketing and regional leaders to define promotions, incentives and focus areas for distribution partners and non-named partners • Drive sales of Veritas products and services through the channel and ensure revenue targets and sales goals are being met and exceeded. • Largely responsible for setting strategy, forecasting revenue, and representing the channel segment on overall strategy and tactics discussions

• Develop and present strategic vision of channel business and impact on other internal operations to Executives. Represent channel needs in all high-level cross-functional discussions to ensure the continued growth and leverage of the channel. Develop and implement the go to market strategy for the channel including obtaining buy-off and support from other organizations that are affected. • Oversee account relationships with key channel customers. Frequently interface with customers to gather and prioritize issues impacting success in the market place. • Responsible for establishing key working relationships with other organizations within Veritas including legal, finance, order services, technical support, product development, and other sales organizations. Ensure cross-functional business with these organizations is completed in a smooth, seamless, and well-coordinated fashion. • Manage sales team through the process of delivering a quota achieving forecast and pipeline. Develop the district and territory structure, determine headcount and resource requirements, assess skills needed, and guide management team through hiring opportunities. Develop, distribute, and measure quarterly and annual quotas, expense targets, and MBOs. • Manages Veritas’s relationship with customers/clients, independent representatives, resellers, or distributors. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent. • Knowledge, experience and proven success in the ASEAN region. • Ability to work closely with the broader business to drive a common outcome (sales and pre-sales) • Sales management skills (sales cadence) • 12 or more years of channel sales management experience at a senior level, consistently exceeding revenue expectations within an international sales and marketing-driven organization • Demonstrated understanding of and experience in product/solution selling processes, sales strategy, channel sales, • Demonstrated experience cultivating deep, proactive understanding of customer and consumer demands and needs across an extended value chain • Experience growing and leading a team of high performing sales professionals
