Job Description:
The global margin team provides collateral calculations and exposure monitoring for private wealth management clients, hedge funds and institutional clients based in Asia that do not have a credit line with the firm. This team is responsible for all aspects of collateral monitoring and works closely with the business unit risk managers, sales, branch admin, business control unit, operations and legal/ documentation groups. The team supports market and non-market risk activities related to collateral, and to ensure that the exposures are within the defined comfort levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
We currently have an opening for a Associate/Director (AVP) within Asia Margin team based in Singapore. The candidate will be responsible for performing supervisory oversight on daily BAU tasks including margin call process and control functions.
- Perform supervisory oversight on daily margin call process & control function;
- Ensure all Asia margin calls are issued prior to the deadline agreed with business units;
- Perform various control activities; work with Sales and Risk Management to ensure clients meet their margin calls in a timely manner;
- Capable of analyzing and comprehend complex portfolios and trading strategies; strong communication skill to respond to inquiries from sales manager and Risk Manager on collateral activities;
- Management skillsets such as assess risk issues, escalate risks to senior management, manage resources in a timely and effective manner*LI-IN1
QUALIFICATIONS
- A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
- An understanding of risk management and escalation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive & flexible team player
- The ability to establish and build effective working relationships with local and global colleagues
- High levels of accuracy and numeracy
- Fluent in written and spoken English
