The Director of Service Provider sales will be required to develop Cisco’s ability to identify, quantify, qualify and maximize Cisco’s opportunity addressing customer needs. You will be the go-to leader on SP technologies and solutions, engaging internal resources and stakeholders including Marketing, Partners and Cisco business units. The Director is responsible for and measured against the revenue generated in addition to motivating and inspiring a cross-functional team of employees to achieve a defined set of short and long term objectives.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
• Build and execute an innovative joint long-range business plan with the in-country sales teams. Develop Cisco deliverables and routes to market to the point of enabling sales orders.
• Understand, articulate and position both internally and externally Cisco's end-to-end SP Architecture.
• Demonstrate a strong appreciation of market trends and drivers, reflecting customer and market current and future needs.
• Grow, track and convert pipeline.
• Directly engage on selected major accounts and opportunities where required, whilst allowing the local account team to maintain overall ownership.
Influence parties where needed to remove obstacles and secure profitable business for Cisco.
• Incubate and cultivate senior level relationships with key customers, partners and eco-system vendors to executive level across the region.
• Build and lead a strong team using technical and business acumen to align business drivers to Cisco solutions.
Proven experience managing geographically dispersed and culturally diverse teams.
• Demonstrate effective skills to influence and negotiate with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy. Influence via press, media and industry events where required.
• Establish a strong team collaborative market development and selling approach.
• Proven experience in driving new business opportunities and models (i.e . Internet of Things, Big Data)
