Job description
Product Planning
· Analyze customer, market, and technology trends and implications for Dell in your category
· Define Category strategy and Product Strategy. Define how Dell will differentiate and win in category. Align with PC ecosystems
· Develop roadmap for Dell branded products, aligned to Category Strategy & PC Ecosystems. Get executive approvals
· Build great products. Create compelling product definition. Lead Ideate through Concept phase exit.
· Drive alignment with PC Planning team, Design, Procurement, Engineering, regional Product marketing teams through the product development life cycle
· Ensure product value proposition and goals are met through Plan exit
· Define & manage bottoms-up portfolio for category including Dell branded & 3rd Party products

Category Performance
· Define Category financial plan for global and regional. Include key financial KPIs: Revenue, Margin, Units, Attach Rate with PC
· Align the Category goals, Product Strategy, Financial goals with key stakeholders in Planning, regional Product Line Managers, PC planners, and Development core team functions
· Understand the performance of category in Dell and underlying reasons in detail. Accurately identify pain points, growth drivers, and make right recommendations to grow the category

Qualifications

· Category expertise – Good knowledge in one or more PC Accessory category. Proven ability to understand category business performance, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions

· Product Planning experience – for Technology products, preferably in PC accessories. Proven ability to analyse external trends, define category strategy and product roadmap

· Communication skills – crisply communicate category strategy, plan and product roadmap to stakeholders. Able to tell story orally and in written presentations

· Relationship & influencing skills – influence PC Planning team on priorities. Drive regional Product Line Managers & Sales along key growth opportunities

· Managing Ambiguity – figure out ‘what’ & ‘how to’ within Dell matrix environment, when problem and solutions are not well defined

· Degree qualifications with minimum 5 years experience in product marketing
