JOB SCOPE
The candidate will own key deliverables such as developing business cases and make strategic recommendations to management on whether to implement changes to Visa’s pricing or interchange rates/structure based on market opportunities to grow Visa payment volumes.

Key deliverables will include:

Develop business cases to launch new products and/or change existing products interchange rates. Demonstrate how new and/or revised interchange rate will grow product issuance and increase payment volume while balancing key stakeholder interests in the acquirer and merchant community.
Provide stakeholder sensitivity analysis of interchange changes which will impact issuers, acquirers and merchants. Demonstrate to management how interchange changes will lead to an increase in PV growth and/or protect existing volumes.
Provide Visa penetration rates in selected countries for specific merchant segments such as petrol, utilities, government, etc. and identify opportunities for adjustments in interchange in order to grow payment volume.
Provide PV growth estimates, conduct cost/benefit analysis for issuers, acquirers, merchants and Visa.
Experience working with Visa pricing models, evaluating different pricing opportunities and make pricing recommendations to management.
Build consensus with internal cross functional stakeholders such as product, acceptance and strategy within hub, global and in country teams.
Interface with the global systems group to develop interchange business requirements. Provide follow-up analysis after interchange rates are implemented to ensure that rates are being calculated as expected.
Manage the reporting of Visa interchange rates. Keep rate table accurate and up to date. Provide client and Visa staff interchange rates and qualification criteria as well as field additional ad hoc questions, requests and analysis on interchange and pricing.
Manage the interchange compliance program to ensure that clients are qualifying for correct interchange rates. Work with country staff and clients to identify where interchange rates are being incorrectly applied. Track ongoing issues with the Global Interchange team based in California.
Support the development of overall country, product and acceptance strategies with a focus on pricing and interchange rate development for products (classic, commercial, premium, debit, etc) and segments (gas, government, supermarket, etc). This entails working closely with the country teams, strategy, product and acceptance teams.


Qualifications

7+ years of professional experience preferably in banking, consulting or finance industries
Direct experience working with interchange and pricing and building business cases and presenting recommendations to management strongly preferred.
Bachelor degree required. Preference in business administration, finance or economics.
Must be flexible, self-motivated, able to work independently and capable of delivering to specific deadlines. Must be able to juggle multiple projects and processes and deal with shifting priorities. This position is part of the Global Interchange team and the candidate must be flexible enough to interface with groups around the world over multiple time zones.
Willingness to relocate if position requires


Technical

Proficient in MS applications including Excel and Power Point required. Experience building financial models using Visa data reporting tools required.
