B2C eCommerce Manager - South East Asia - HP - Singapore


Job description

eCommerce expertise - subject matter expert in online store eCommerce sales, campaign management and an in depth understanding of consumer and SME needs, expectations and online buying behaviours.
Sub-region leadership role - in the delivery of the public and private online stores in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong addressing the online eCommerce needs of both consumer and SME customers (supporting the country HP Shopping sales managers).
Online Optimisation - accountable for the ongoing improvement of the online stores and online campaigns in order to drive improvements in demand generation, conversion and average order size (through online cross-sell and up-sell features).
Budget management - Responsible for the allocation of the marketing development fund budget to deliver campaigns focused on increasing online sales across all three countries.
Business acumen - Exhibits authoritative business, financial and legal acumen to develop meaningful business recommendations; Continuously monitors and improves area-of-control operations to ensure alignment with HPs business direction, the quality of business practices and optimum organization performance.
Analytics - Uses online metrics to identify issues and opportunities and subsequently develop strategies and implement enhancements to increase sales performance.
Competitive Positioning/Strategy - Uses competitive intelligence in account planning and sales activities to develop counter strategies that will neutralize competitive influence on the customer’s buying decisions
Change management - Ability to work through an environment of constant change and effectively support the country sales managers through transitions beyond their control
Industry and client knowledge - Stays current with industry and competitive research and information to enable rich client dialogue; maintains an understanding of client business challenges, industry trends and markets; demonstrates breadth and depth of knowledge to position and map HP capabilities that align to client business objectives and initiatives.
Participates in investment decisions in pricing and resources

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

Directly related management experience and work results including success in achieving progressively higher quota or other sales related goals.
Proven analytical thinking, project management skills, attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills are essential
A track record of proven success in past positions (delivering eCommerce online stores etc)
Ability to think strategically and tactically, with excellent attention to detail.
University or Bachelor’s degree; advanced or Master’s degree preferred.
Typically 10-12+ years’ experience in eCommerce sales (consumer electronics or otherwise).
Experience managing online operations in both start-up and more complex environments.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

eCommerce management.
High level of understanding of web based technologies.
Transactional sales.
Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment is essential for success.
On time delivery of localised campaigns and promotions.
Business start-up / implementation, incubation and development.

Strategic Planning - Translates business goals into actionable plans and strategies that reflect the requirements and opportunities within area-of-control Aligns area-of-control account and market opportunities with upstream strategic plans and metrics.
Execution - Actively manages business plans to meet revenue goals/quotes and advance the business interests of HP.
Operations Building/Improvement - Continuously monitors, troubleshoots and improves area-of-control operations to ensure alignment with HP's business direction, the quality of business practices, optimum organizational performance and a highly motivated sales force
Sales Facilitation - Applies influence and organizational savvy to advances sales opportunities internally within HP.
Manages the top- and bottom-line - monitors discounts and margins involved in individual deals to align them with group performance
Works with others to create mechanisms that shift the focus from "low-hanging," immediate wins to recognizing and providing incentives for large deals/wins
Understands industry drivers and the customer base better to bridge HP solutions with account-relevant problems and opportunities
Builds stronger internal relationships with other groups to ensure seamless selling of total HP solutions and to establish clear expectations for resource alignment and support
Change Management - Develops methods for supporting innovation and change across the organization
Leadership - Able to lead effectively in a complex and political environment and deliver results; Able to influence without direct authority; Able to balance between competing priorities and be flexible and creative.
