SVP - Requirements Practice Lead, IT Shared Services, Technology and Operations - DBS Bank - Singapore


Job description

Business Function

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers our Bank with an efficient, nimble, scalable standard infrastructure through a strategic focus on Productivity, Quality & Control, Operating Models, Technology and People. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

Drive the transformation of requirements practices across the Bank to achieve business results, and create a sustained BAU organization able to drive continuous improvement.
Build requirements practices as an enterprise-wide and strategic capability:
Work with the lines of business technology groups to drive Bank-wide adoption of leading and standardised requirements practices.
Assess effectiveness of requirements practices adopted by teams and design the broader framework of the maturity model.
Perform periodical benchmarking against industry best practices on requirements to assess level of maturity.
Identify areas of improvement in the requirements practices based on inputs from various sources (e.g. workshops, self assessments, results from project metrics).
Perform relationship management / service delivery management as client partner to a line of business:
Relationship management and providing advisory on the full scope of ITSS services (i.e. not just requirements) with clients.
Understand client requirements and act as a partner in helping to shape the desired ITSS solution, scoping effort and engaging specialists as required.
Network with key line of business decision-makers to have visibility of pipeline of work to support demand forecasting.
Pro-actively identify improvement opportunities through engagement of ITSS and adoption of leading practices and tools across the SDLC.
Interface and liaise between the Business, Technology and Operations teams to identify and syndicate continuous improvement solutions.

Requirements

Deep understanding of Requirements across the various SDLC models (traditional waterfall, Agile)
Strong Business Analyst (BA) background with good experience (at least 5 years practitioner) and knowledge across various SDLC models (Waterfall, Agile methodologies)
Solid experience in developing and reviewing Requirements document.
Hands on experience with Story points, User stories and well versed with design-led development (DLD) is preferred.
Understanding of Financial Services (banking) domain and banking applications preferred.
Experience and passion to drive Human Centered Design techniques would be an advantage.
Previous experience with large technology change programs
Team player with good inter-personal and communications skills.
