Senior Director - Content & Knowledge - Visa - Singapore

Position Summary

This role leads a team that generates, mines, analyzes and synthesizes compelling content for client projects. The Content and Knowledge team produces high quality reports efficiently, and manages the knowledge assets of the Visa Consulting & Analytics group in Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities

• Direct the overall workflow of the Hub Content & Knowledge team, coaching the team to prioritize work, discuss with consulting team members when tasks are not value added or redundant. Manage team performance appraisals, development plans

• Direct and coach Consulting team members in their use and application of knowledge assets and secondary data, ensuring the team focuses on critical business questions, drives towards strategic and synthesized insights, and suggest improvements and ideas

• Perform reviews of client deliverables against requirements, providing direction on areas of improvement, and identifying common challenges and developing approaches to lift performance across the team

• Undertake complex client project work, focusing on quality and clarity of insights

• Initiate new conceptual and reference models, including models that provide benchmark comparisons, forecast takeup of new products / offers). Includes owning and improving the Value Drivers model and applying this to client projects, and working with vendors that enable data / inputs to the models

• Lead periodic “deep dives” and meta analysis – the synthesis of insights analytics on a period basis (e.g. quarterly, work with the team on storylining, and syndicate with key stakeholders prior to finalization and publication

• Write and produce thought leadership based pieces, that utilize Visa Consulting models, data, insights

• Steward Knowledge management for the Consulting group, working with other Consulting units across Visa to better share assets. In particular, work with other teams on integrating knowledge management, models, and other transferable practice elements

• Foster partnership with other functional areas, ensuring alignment of opportunities and recommendations

• Model Consulting competencies and guide team members along the accreditation path

• Select and manage any consulting partners involved in the delivery of consulting engagements.

The Senior Director will be responsible for assignments across Asia Pacific and will be based in Singapore.

Qualifications

Strong academic credentials, with MBA or graduate degree preferred

Experience

• Minimum 15 years’ experience consulting to Retail banking / payments clients

• Experience in consulting, market research or internal strategy/consulting function

• Global or multi-national business experience strongly preferred (e.g. with a major bank or from a mature cards market such as USA, UK or Australia)

• Experience working with data sources such as secondary data, primary research, transactional data.

• Understanding of banks and card issuers’ P&L and critical factors in driving profitability

• Experience in and passion for the power of insights and analytics to inform and drive strategy and tactics

• Ability to influence and negotiate with C-suite

• Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.

• Very detailed oriented, is expected to ensure highest level of quality/rigor in reports and data analysis

• Expert level Excel and PowerPoint

• Strong leadership and coaching skills
