Director - Marketing - Red Hat - Singapore


Job description
Red Hat in Singapore is looking for a Director of APAC Field Marketing. APAC Marketing is one of four regional marketing teams (as well as NA, EMEA, and LATAM) responsible for delivering in-market efforts to promote the Red Hat brand and products. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 25 marketers to deliver relevant, timely, and effective in-region marketing efforts. You'll be responsible for promoting the development of a marketing plan for the
APAC region that is aligned with Sales and Corporate Marketing, ensuring high quality through both direct and indirect channels. You will design global campaigns, lead the translation of these campaigns into relevant local campaigns, augment corporate efforts with local efforts, and assist with pipeline acceleration. As the Director, APAC Marketing, you'll also work in close collaboration with direct and channel sales teams, as well as supervise the local marketing teams and the regional Demand Center.

Primary job responsibilities

Lead and develop a creative team of marketing specialists that supports our sales needs
Define opportunities and initiatives based on your thorough understanding of regional markets and the needs of enterprise customers
Support marketing efforts to build awareness and traction within the target market
Develop demand management and marketing programs, and oversee demand generation and pipeline activities
Work with our Corporate Marketing team in the United States to develop product launch and go-to-market plans that fit corporate initiatives
Work with field sales, inside sales, and partners to plan opportunities effectively
Consult with partners and develop joint demand generation activities
Act as a visible leader at industry events and in the media by influencing analysts and the press

Required skills

10+ years of enterprise software marketing experience in an American enterprise software company
Proven experience successfully planning and carrying out multiple channel campaigns with integrated lead generation
Ability to operate in a numbers-focused environment with allocated budgets
5+ years of experience leading and building a diverse team in a matrixed environment
Recent product marketing experience identifying market opportunities, go-to-market strategy, and product launches
Experience in client-facing roles working with partners to achieve success
Excellent communication skills to give presentations at industry events and interact with the press
Willingness to contribute to a team, lead by example, and work in a fast-paced environment
Good organizational, planning, and budgeting skills
Willingness to travel up to 30%
