CoC Product Management Director– Global Support and Deployment (GSD)

As a part of the Global Support & Deployment Product Group, this Regional Product Management Director will lead a team of Regional Product Managers (ABU region), each aligned to the portfolios of GSD. This Regional Product Management team is part of the Global Centre of Competence (CoC) in GSD Product Group.



The GSD PG Centre of Competence (CoC) acts as a regional interface, it provides portfolio expertise & advocacy, and drives product awareness enabling the sales teams to sell GSD services. As regional portfolio SMEs, the CoC function ensures that sales and Dell customer needs are represented throughout the product life cycle.
You will be responsible for overseeing the quality of regional market feedback and requirements consolidation, product launch and product awareness with regional sales, marketing and other product groups. During the product sustaining phase, your team is measured upon timely resolution of product related issues. You will help the team develop the connections and relationships required in Sales and other Product Groups, as well as your own network at director and executive level. Finally, this director will work closely with the product management counterparts to advice on portfolio and offer requirements.

You will be expected to become an expert on the portfolio, the long term strategy and vision, the market and competition. You are an excellent communicator/presenter, and you and your team are well able to position the portfolio with key stakeholders and sales, leading to a well-educated sales force on GSD products, and ultimately high revenue and margin.

Key Responsibilities
Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group.
Engage with sales, customers and partners to understand market requirements and feed this back into the portfolio teams.
Participates in discussions around offer evolution and development.

· Partner with other Regional Product Groups to align on Sales and Customer events, and to ensure full awareness of End-User Computing (EUC)/Enterprise Solutions Group (ESG) and Services roadmaps and product launches
· Collaborate with cross-functional Go-To-Market teams to ensure successful product launch and product adoption.
Provide authoritative advice to top leadership based on deep subject matter expertise.

· Ensure the team is delivering high-impact training across Sales, Marketing and other Stakeholder groups and clearly communicate the value and unique advantage of our services.
Manages the hiring, maintaining and developing of a diverse and effective team.
Responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members.

· Coordinate Quarterly Regional Product Line Reviews with Sales Executive Leadership Teams (ELTs) and other Stakeholder groups.
Stays informed and knowledgeable of current and future services & technology trends


Qualifications

· Outstanding customer focus and critical thinking skills

· Experience in sales, marketing or product group required

· Strong drive for results

· High degree of intellectual horsepower

· 6+ years leadership experience

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong negotiation and influencing skills, has the ability to build confidence with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

· 10+ years of relevant work experience, including managing teams
