Director - Centre of Operational Excellence - SingTel - Singapore

Job description
The Director, Centre of Operational Excellence (COE) role is responsible for leading and shaping the operational excellence practice for the business or functional domain assigned. These include application of SingTel Lean Six Sigma, business process management, change management, design thinking and CE methodologies and practices to drive business improvement and transformational projects, conduct performance measures and benchmarking, create and facilitate the governance of operational excellence, with a mission to continuously improve and sustain excellent business operations performance (revenue improvement, cost reduction, strategic development) and deliver distinctive customer experience.

Key responsibilities:
Define, scope and deliver the operational excellence strategy for the BU/Domain to facilitate identification of cost reduction, revenue and customer experience improvement opportunities to support the BU/Domain’s strategic direction.
Interpret changing nature of BU market trends and incorporate these with emerging technologies through delivering operational excellence initiatives/projects.
Engage and update key stakeholders to translate BU strategy into operational frameworks and provide advice on end-to-end process improvement.
Lead, drive and deploy best practices enabled by Group COE across business units within the assigned domain.
Inculcate continuous improvement mindsets and distinctive customer experience through deploying Lean Six Sigma, Business Process Management, Change Management and Design Thinking practices throughout the domain supported.
Lead a virtual team of full-time and/or extended members (line representatives) to chart detailed project plans, manage the teams, manage the risks and implement the improvement/transformational opportunities identified.
Train, coach, develop and certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belts, Green Belts, Black Belts, PMP.
Be the change agent in driving cultural change to make Lean Six Sigma the SingTel Way, cascade KPIs.

Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor degree, MBA preferred
More than 12 years of relevant experience
Certified Master Black Belt (MBB) or practicing Black Belt (BB) with more than 5 years of BB experience
Business Process Management certification
Experience in consultancy or strategic planning, especially in operational excellence
Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects
Ability to engage at CEO/senior management level and yet able to move the working levels
Strong structured analytical skills to grasp big picture to the required details
Strong business acumen
Ability to teach, coach, facilitate and nurture virtual team members to become qualified COE practitioners
