Senior Manager - Business Finance - Standard Chartered Bank - Singapore

This is a highly visible role within the Singapore and ASEAN Wholesale Banking Business Finance function supporting the Transaction Banking business.

The role involves extensive interaction with senior stakeholders and is focused on the following:
• Performance management with strong emphasis on Product analytics
• Building the balance sheet management capabilities /RWA optimization
• Financial Control and managing regulatory changes
• Developing and enhancing Business Finance support to our Business Partners

This role will require self motivation, a hands-on approach, innovation and a willingness to work with minimal direct supervision.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide performance analysis to TB business for supporting decision making and strategic development of Wholesale Bank
• Enable better understanding of balance sheet and drivers to maximize capital efficiency
• Manage the TB reporting and control processes
• Manage the forecast and budget for TB products
• Review new and renewal of Country Product Program for TB business
• Work with Business Finance teams in ASEAN countries to provide performance commentaries and insights to TB business
• Standard and enhance periodic reports to assist business in monitoring TB business to achieve the budgets, stretch target and scorecard
• Cost management and analysis Singapore and ASEAN TB teams
• Attend and resolve queries from the business and various stakeholders

Qualifications & Skills

• Extensive Business Finance experience, preferably with exposure to Transaction Banking Products
• Strong academic record with an accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA or equivalent)
• Highly pro-active, innovative and with a strong desire to succeed
• Ability to challenge established processes and procedures
• Analytical, inquisitive nature with the ability to deal well with complexity
• Excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under constant pressure to tight deadlines and deliver high quality output.
• Strong sense of integrity and financial independence with an ability to challenge where deemed necessary
