The Finance Director Source CoE – Asia Pac Region will provide strategic finance leadership and strong business partner support to the Asia Pac Regional Procurement Governance Council to ensure financial visibility and decision making to drive value for the organization.

Supply Chain scope has direct P&L and balance sheet accountability for product costs & inventory (focused on materials and externally manufactured finished goods), investment analysis, capital spending, etc. Responsible for leading the team with modeling financial analysis and leading/influencing key management discussions on strategic decisions impacting the Supply Chain Network, such as “Buy” in the Make versus Buy process, and investment analyses for funding of cost improvement projects and business continuity planning.
On Commercial/Business Services Procurement leader will have direct accountability to drive strategic analysis and translate these through the sector P&Ls in partnership with Sector Finance senior leaders. Position will provide Strategic financial insights into all categories/spend analysis within the Region.
The Position will identify and incorporate external insights into category strategies and use these to drive business outcomes.
As this position is part of the J&J SC Source Finance COE, this position will be required in leading changes to the Finance ESP plans (service delivery model) through the local region as well as influencing the global designs. At times this role will be a key leader of local and enterprise level process redesign and implementation projects. Fostering an organizational mindset of innovation and translating into actionable plans will be critical to success.
This position has the critical factor of leading all aspects of the planning and actual reporting process for the regional SC and Commercial/Business services Procurement business across all sectors. The Finance Director is required to actively engage and influence Senior Management, while playing a key role in identifying opportunities and taking proactive actions to minimize exposure to the Financial Plan.

Financial Process & Systems
Partnering with the Source Leadership team including development of Standard Source Processes, Structure, Global Centers of Excellence, and alignment with on-going development of global solutions and capabilities (i.e. Quantum Leap Market Engagement Process within the Region)
Lead and influence Global Source Finance teams to ensure decisions are made standardized and to drive best value for J&J
Enhances current practices and develops new solutions and strategies to strengthen the financial knowledge and operating performance including benchmarking and external insights
Leads the preparation of business plans, forecast updates and long-term planning (LRFP). Partners with all functions to deliver business plan commitments and overall financial objectives, creating value and efficiently utilizing funding
Ensures financial processes and systems are in place in compliance with worldwide procedures and drives accountability throughout the organization
Develop financial governance model and framework to align with Regional Supply Chain and Services to align to global operating model within Source COE and through all relevant Sector results within the Region
Establish and execute financial processes/deliverables needed as part of new role supporting the Procurement Governance Council and Value discussions with Sector business and financial leadership boards
Influence the future Service Delivery Model organizational design in Source Finance COE based on the long term vision of global source
Travel : 25-35% - in region and global
Education & Experience Requirements
Minimum of Bachelor Degree is required preferably with major in Accounting or Finance. An MBA, CPA, CMA and/or other financial certifications are strongly preferred
Minimum of 10+ years of progressive finance experience including hands-on and strategic supply chain finance experience
Direct experience in cost accounting and reporting within J&J
Proven track record influencing and leading people and interacting with senior level management
Process-oriented individual with the ability to develop outstanding strategic/tactical plans.
Strategic Thinking, Collaboration and Teaming, Prudent Risk Taking, Results and Performance Driven
Language: English fluency required ; Language fluency Chinese – Mandarin or Cantonese, a plus.
