Director - Product Management - Pacnet - Singapore
Job description
The Product Manager will have product lifecycle responsibility for Pacnet’s International Private Line (IPL) and Ethernet solution portfolio as well as commercial responsibility towards driving revenue growth within this focus area and expanding the product to meet the changing market needs. Working with the different stakeholders within Pacnet, the Product Manager will establish, execute and maintain strategies aimed at driving profitable revenue growth. The Product Manager will be based in Singapore and may require occasional travel.
Scope: Pacnet IPL and Ethernet service portfolio
Key Tasks:
- Establish, execute and maintain overall Pacnet IPL and Ethernet product strategy aimed at driving profitable revenue growth
Achieve deepest OnNet reach in Asia-Pac: Establish POP expansion plans, seek financial approvals, drive execution
Standardize and enhance product features and capabilities
Achieve revenue and EBITDA targets for the product
- Establish and maintain Product Management Plan
Product Overview
Conducting quarterly product performance review
Market trend and competitive landscape
Bandwidth & revenue analysis
Network and SLA performance review
- Develop go-to-market plans for Pacnet customers in the Enterprise and Carrier segments
Track customer pipeline to evaluate tactical strategies aimed at quick revenue growth
Provide product support to sales, pre-sales and complex bid teams
Provide training and regular product update quarterly
Develop promotional plans to promote growth
- Product Life-cycle Management
Review and update product collateral to ensure information available is up-to-date and relevant including Product Guide, network diagram, sales presentation, SOF and T&C
Review cost and pricing models to ensure Pacnet’s offerings are competitive
Define new products and services, develop and seek approval for plans with business case justification
Desired Skills and Experience
This role will suit candidates with prior Product Management, Technical-Sales, Complex Bids experience in a Telecommunication / related organizations.
Regional experience with another telecommunication service provider
Proven experience in product management throughout the product lifecycle
Ability to create and manage complex business models
Extensive experience driving and motivating sales teams to meet product revenue objectives
University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Administration
A minimum of 10+ years of experience in Layer 1 SDH, Wave and Ethernet technologies
Strong awareness of technology trends, vendor capabilities and competitive service provider landscape
Desirable experience in customer facing business development, product management and marketing roles
Experience with Alcatel Lucent and Infinera vendor technologies
Self-motivated with drive and initiative
Ability to effectively work across cross-functional groups
Excellent verbal and written skills is essential
Experience in project management would be desirable
Verbal communication in Cantonese & Mandarin would be desirable
