Job description
Deutsche Bank is seeking applications for role of Head of Fund Services - Asia for the Fund Services business within the Global Transaction Bank. The Fund Services business comprises both the alternative and long only business with global assets under administration of over USD210bn. Fund Services in Asia is a geographically diverse business covering over 10 markets principally in the domestic long only segment in those markets. Asia represents more than a third of the revenue for the product hence a key area of focus and growth. The business in Asia is principally our domestic fund services business (local mutual fund and trustee business).


Key responsibilities:
Responsible for creating the right operating and governance model for FS working closely with all stake holders to create and maintain a successful IS-FS business regionally.
Ensuring strong connectivity to the Custody & Clearing product
Responsibility for the business in the core hubs of Hong Kong and Singapore including full product and PnL ownership
Work with the IS market heads to develop the Fund Service strategy with a focus on deepening market share, adding new product offering to enable more success and growth .
Partner with Operations, Technology and Product Management to ensure we have a consistent product being delivered in a uniform way across the region.
Work with our business partners to refine our technology, improve efficiency (STP) and drive the unit cost of delivery down across the region
Ensure correct governance is applied across each of the locations we service clients
Review financial performance on a monthly basis for the FS Asia business
Responsible for delivering client satisfaction across the traditional funds segment
Manage relationships with key stakeholders in Sales, PM, GT & Infrastructure functions
Influence change as a result of regulatory matters
Play an important role in Influencing and controlling operational and reputational risk across Asia
Manage any service relationship teams in DB Centre/ DBOI
Participate in presentations for business opportunities from new and existing clients
Responsible for change management where required including Ad hoc project management (as required)
Act as the Single point of contact for taking up client / market specific requirements with the PM team and other stake holders.
Point person for RFP pitches and to ensure consistency and comprehensiveness in responses
Work with the TSO team in ensuring optimal service model. Focus on measures to ensure healthy CIR for the funds business.
Responsible for consistent application of systems, processes and controls in line with global standards
Work with COR , Audit and other risk groups for proactive management of risk areas

Desired Skills and Experience
Key Requirements:
At least 10 plus years of proven experience at a top tier institutional fund administrator covering both Mutual and Alternative Fund Administration
Strong product knowledge across all traditional products
Detailed knowledge of Mutual and alternative fund administration systems including Symcorp, Geneva, Investran, and Transfer Agency platforms.
Strong client facing skills
Strong people skills required to influence manage effectively in a matrix organisation
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to drive change
Strong staff management skills to manage global team
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects
Strong planning, organisational and entrepreneurial skills

Experience in Asian regulations and knowledge of funds in Asian markets will be essential
