The Asia Strategy function reports to the CEO of Asia Pacific and works closely with APAC regional senior management in formulating and managing various aspects of Credit Suisse’s Asia region strategy across our client franchises and businesses.
We are seeking a Director with a corporate finance and strategy background in the financial services sector to join the team. The Director will be expected to be a high performing contributor to the performance of the APAC region, and manage various aspect of regional strategy. This entails leading all types of initiatives, conducting rigorous analysis and producing high quality content, working collaboratively with internal businesses and support functions, and keeping informed of regulatory reform and general industry trends that can impact our business.

This role offers you the chance to play a critical role in the ongoing development and realization of Credit Suisse’s vision and strategic objectives in APAC, and ensure connectivity to the broader Bank strategy.
An exciting opportunity for you to join the Asia Strategy team and contribute to strategic reviews of key business/countries, assessment of M&A and partnership opportunities, competitor and macro analysis for strategic planning, coordination with businesses on key strategic initiatives and a range of strategic projects on behalf of executive management
The broad scope of the team provides an opportunity to build a strong network of senior contacts among the business and functional leaders of Credit Suisse
This role can be based in Singapore or Hong Kong depending on the right candidate
Strong focus on talent development and exposure to internal mobility opportunities
Relevant work experience in a Global Bank or Wealth Manager and experience in formulating, leading and managing corporate strategy.
Minimum 8-10 years relevant work experience, preferably in strategy/consulting role at a Bank with exposure to Asia
MBA from a top business school preferred
An ability to independently lead projects and manage a broad book of work
Proven analytical, presentation and organizational skills
Strong communication kills – ability to translate complex data into simple, compelling messages
Strong capacity for operating in a dynamic, high pressure environment where creative thinking is required
Proven ability to work effectively in teams and leverage informal networks to achieve results. Demonstrated work ethic; work as part of a flat, tightly knit team
