Director Global Accounts Dell Singapore

Job Description:
Defines our growth strategy and investment plans for Global accounts with HQ in APJ (in collaboration with Country G500 sales leaders).
Responsible for the smooth execution of our APJ HQ accounts business plan (circa $300M per year revenue in FY17). Accountable for sales performance in that space.
• Provides direction, programs, and programmatic cadence to Global Account Managers assigned to APJ HQ accounts (strong dotted line to the APJ HQ Global account Director).

• Drives systematic approach to account reviews, and synchronization with regional and global teams.

• Responsible for driving an Executive engagement program with entire account portfolio (Regional, Global or Cross functional executive sponsors).

• In collaboration with Country G500 sales leaders, ensures we recruit, develop and inspire a best of breed Global Account Manager team.

Nature Of Work

• Accountable for related performance objectives, and assumes responsibility for sales objectives

• Performs sales activities on a longer sales cycle.

• Customarily and regularly engaged at client facilities.

• Collaborates effectively across multiple country, business unit, and functional leader throughout the organization to set strategy and business objectives.

• Provides leadership and influences the strategic and/or long-term focus for the function.

• Initiates integrated business plans based on senior leadership strategy.

• Sponsors and institutionalizes new and innovative ways of working in teams to meet customer needs/sales objectives.

Strategic Influence & Leadership

• Manages sales and customers of critical importance to Dell

• Breaks new ground; changes and shapes the industry.

• Recognized internally and externally as a thought leader on Dell’s technology direction, products, and services and Dell’s Global Sales Advantage

• Establishes operational objectives for leaders and/or teams of professionals across the organization.

• Acts as a coach/mentor for global account team.

• Analyzes long-term impact of new or anticipated sales strategies

• Collaborates with key stakeholders both internal and external.

• Serves as important liaison to external contacts (customers and vendors).

Problem Solving

• Guided by long term objectives and business requirements.

• Analyzes long-term impact of new or anticipated strategies and decisions.

• Leads teams to solve abstract problems without precedent.

• Diagnoses and resolves ambiguous problems.

• Leads rigorous process and service improvement programs.

Education

• Undergraduate degree and 10+ years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 8+ years relevant experience.
