Director - Strategy - Dell - Singapore

Job description
The position is responsible for development of strategy and tracking of execution within Dell’s Imaging/ Printing business. The role is part of the Global Imaging line of business based out of Singapore.
This role interfaces with different stakeholders within a matrix and global organization, across a wide range of functions.


Key Responsibilities

• Drive Long Term Imaging and Printing Strategy Development

· Support LOB 3 Year Strategic & Annual FY Planning

· Assess key industry trends, competitive threats, new technologies, etc.

· Develop strategic direction, P&Ls, Key Actions, Marketing Programs, Project Plans, etc.

• Drive initiative based Strategy Development: Develop, Launch & Execute until self-supporting by the business

· Support LOB specific strategy initiatives - support as needed (Supplier/Vendor initiatives, Product initiatives, Engineering transformation, GTM/RTM transformation, Sales initiatives, Acquisition/ Joint Venture Opportunities, etc.)

· Strategy Activation Support/ Management:

· Convert strategies to action plans with clear deliverables – ensure strategies are integrated and become “Steady State” as part of regular businesses cycle and processes

· Identify and drive to close gaps in strategy vs. “execution status of the business” and integration with other Dell Business units/ businesses

• Responsible for supporting the total customer experience from consideration, purchase, delivery and ownership as part of strategy recommendations

• Develop and present recommendations and analyses to the executive management for approvals

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred), with at least 15 years of experience in technology related businesses with P&L responsibility

· Strong business acumen and past experience in developing and executing Corporate Strategy

· Able to analyze complex, multi-variable tradeoffs to make business case recommendations

Sharp business sense, a strategic mind and superb analytical skills
Strong understanding of fundamental across the value chain of product development to go to market
Business acumen – stay abreast of industry developments and can identify trends which can be incorporated into the business
Strong Leadership and Influence skills
Broad industry knowledge across multiple IT related industries including PC, Peripherals, Tablets and/or smart phones . Direct Imaging and Printing related experience is preferred
