Job description
You will manage one of Avaya’s strategic vendor relationships. As a true relationship orchestrator you drive vendor performance in a structured way, driving metrics on cost, delivery performance and quality among others, chairing operational review and business review meetings. In a nutshell you will be continuously driving structural operation improvements. On top of that you are a natural game-changer, always on the look to find ways to have our vendor base add more value to new product propositions, always looking to do things ‘different than they have always been done’

The perfect candidate has an electrical engineering (MSc/BSc) background, but has understood that working with people brings a lot more job satisfaction. You preferably have worked in an engineering/R&D environment, with a number of years of strategic sourcing and/or procurement experience under your belt. You should clearly classify as a savvy and experienced sourcing professional, as this is a senior position. You are a natural negotiator, who likes to work with people from vary diverse backgrounds, across time-zones, cultures and language barriers. Perseverance, self-propelling, street-smart, business oriented and with a can-do mentality. You are also familiar (hands-on) with EMS and ODM business models as you will be working in both models and a number of hybrid in-between versions.
