Job Description:
The Sr. Director of OEM Client Business and Markets is responsible for building and leading a world-class team responsible for all client PC OEM market segments, driving the definition, development, delivery and in-market execution of best-in-class business management, as well as directing execution in various sales channels. As the business leader, this role is accountable and responsible for the profit and loss of the segments managed under this organization. This role will require a deep and current understanding of existing and potential customer segments, markets and customer needs. This role also cultivates strong internal and external relationships and leverages them to develop the insights that help create profitable and high-quality products to meet customer and end-user expectations, and achieve fastTime-to-Market

Develops and manages new/innovative business models and monetization mechanisms for innovations coming out of the segment. Owns the business segment strategy for all Client PC OEM segments by developing channel and go to market strategies to support current and future customer and market requirements.
Works closely and cooperatively with the products and services organizations to identify, develop and monetize products, interfaces and functionality in Seagate’s core devices.
Supports the portfolio management efforts, aligning the segment strategy with the corporate and portfolio strategy and spending.
Creates the segment-specific business plan (including Pricing, Placement, Market and Competitive strategies) including the development of segment goals covering products, markets, pricing, customers and competition.
Identifies, evaluates and recommends business opportunities consistent with business objectives. Develops three-year market and penetration strategy to drive business share, market relevance and ultimately the business results.
Provides ongoing business guidance internally to help internal teams make schedule, cost, feature and quality trade-offs and to ensure predictable product delivery.
Develops annual and quarterly forecasts for the segment. Represent the segment in the Plan Of Record (POR) and Executive Business Review (EBR) processes to create agreed-upon POR and business Outlook.
Collaborates with Product Marketing to develop Go-To-Market, Packaging and Promotion strategies. Oversees in-market execution, including competitive responses and tactical pricing and contract activities as needed

Having Knowledge And Experience In Consumer Technology, The Ideal Candidate Will Be a Seasoned, Results-oriented Business Director. This Individual Will Have Leadership Experience With Both Formal And Informal Reporting Relationships And Be Able To Drive Results Even With Non-dedicated Functions, As This Position Will Have Significant Product Accountability Without Formal Reporting Relationships To The Development Organization. S/he Will Have a Demonstrated Track Record In P&L Management, Technology Operations, Customer Engagements, And Business Strategy. This Executive Will Have 7-10 Or More Years Of Management Responsibility In
Creating brand value
Driving business P&L
Developing unique consumer value propositions which command a price premium in the marketplace
Resource prioritization
Experience in defining and launching new products with a keen sense of product and price positioning
As a member of the global business for Seagate, this person must have a demonstrated record of respect for employees and different cultures. Possessing an undergraduate degree and MBA or advanced degree, this individual will be an excellent communicator (both written and verbal), possessing high-energy, decision making skills, intelligence, and accountability. This person will have a management style which encourages open expression of ideas and opinions and a full discussion of differing points of view.

Education Requirements
Bachelor Degree, Masters preferred.
